Dear all, http://www.one2car.com/CarInfor/cardetails.aspx?caridx=A17083001 is the car I am looking at. Any thoughts? I am a first time ferrari (potential) buyer. Thanks in advance for your time. MB
Looks like from the OP's other post, the OP is in Thailand. I tried to pull up the ad too, and while I recognized it as another language, I thought maybe it was hindi or something (India). I dont have virus protection on my PC, but I keep my security high so I could not get the web page to load. Motionbroker, do you perhaps have a list of questions or can you post pictures or a description of the car? Lots of good advice here on FChat. There is also an asia section, someone there could help you as well. James in Denver
Hi guys. THanks for looking. I am in Thailand and unfortunately most of the ads for cars on the internet are in thai. They are not carrying viruses or anything like that. I am just considering this at this point. I would have to sell my porsche first. I cant afford to have both. I was just hoping that someone experienced could glance over the pictures and see if there is anything obviously wrong with this car. MB
I couldn't get it to load either, but check this thread our for what to look for in a car....http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175886

Gotta love having a Macbook! No worries about viruses. I could load the page and images, but can't understand a word! I also thought it might have been Hindi, but thanks MotionBroker for letting us know it's Thai. The pics load rather slowly. Im not familiar with the Asian export 3x8 series, but the first thing I noticed on this 308 GTB QV was that the door mirrors look to be smaller than the US Spec mirrors. Also, right hand drive? I didn't think that Thailand was a right hand drive country. Is this an Australian export into Thailand? 16" wheels with Michelin tires are always nice. Those are good to have. Interior looks remarkably clean. Have the seats be re-dyed? Looks very pristine. I'm not keen on the dangly blue wires hanging below the dashboard. What is that? Makes me think that someone did some wiring for the stereo and didn't tuck it back up neatly? And I see that there are Hill Engineering pedals (or equivalent) that have been added. Your best bet, quite frankly, is to go to a Ferrari specialist in your country and pay the person to perform a PPI on the vehicle if you're seriously interested in it. With the limited pictures and slow loading website, it's difficult for any of us to provide any kind of advice.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at the photos. I realise its not easy to see much. I would suspect the interior has been refreshed. There are very good thai upholstery guys in BKK. My 928 gts has a new interior that was done up there and it is remarkably well crafted. I am going through the process of organising a PPI and will let you guys know. MB
NICE CAR!!!! The GTS's here in the US held thier values rather well, at least as of about 2 years ago. The best of the 928 series, sorta like the 512M for the Testarossa's I would say. The 308QV will not hold its own against your GTS, but then again, its a different kind of car. James in Denver
