I be attending the Desert Concours show. Ferrari #1 will be there... first time shown in 30 or 40 years... Couldn't pass up the chance to see the first Ferrari ever built

 

imho: It's the #6 body and the #2 chassis.

 

Hmmm... False advertising then? Here is their press release:

"Palm Springs, CA. --The first Ferrari ever built, Chassis Number 01C, will make its first-ever appearance in the western United States in Palm Springs at the inaugural Desert Classic Concours d'Elegance on March 1st. Set to be held on the historic O'Donnell Golf Club, "This is the first time in twenty years that this automobile has made a public appearance," said event organizer Paul Merrigan."

Matt, any pictures would be appreciated. I was suppose to go but could not. We did a restoration (the D-Type Jag) that I understand won Best of Class and have yet to see any pictures of the event. I heard it was a real nice event. Please post what you have.

I'm also bummed that I wasn't in town when this happened, nor did I even have an idea it was even going on. Oh well, there's always next year.

 

Forgot to download the pictures out of my camera. Will attempt it tonight.
