I'm sorry to hear this, they put on hold a project they had contacted me about because he wasn't feeling well but this surprise's me.

Glad I missed the thread...It goes from sympathy to slander...give the man a break!

It's amazing what people will say hiding behind a screen. A book was just published on just this subject. It's a really interesting analogy of how things will be said in forums that [cowards] would never be said to someones face ;)

What I've said to you now, I have said and will continue to say to people's faces but that is totally irrelevant here. I was dropping a hint to use the 'search' button more often, that's all.

Never was a fan of American hot rod too much drama, I'm sure in his day when he actually did the work himself the cars were amazing and he will be missed for that but in the later years he cared more about business production schedule than the quality of production, If I was one of the owners who recieved the last few cars on the show I would of freaked at the rush that was being taken and the poor quality.
He should of stayed more hands on he was great at that and had a business manager do the rest let's face it not that good of a business man.

But a great hot rod conceptionist.

    Very sad news indeed :(:(
As I'm not a HotRod fan myself, but I enjoyed his shows on the Discovery chanel as
often as I could, great show with talented co-workers.
Here in Norway they have been showing us tv shows from 05-06 season, if they've been
a bit ahead in the US I dont know.

Who's gonna run the store now?

    He'll be missed. :(

"Boyds Wheels, his successful company that went public in 1995 and merged with Hot Rods by Boyd, was in bankruptcy.

Although devastated, according to a 2000 account in The Times, Coddington formed a new company in 1998, selling his FERRARI for $150,000 and some real estate holdings for $1.5 million to fund operations."

    Happy now? Jeezus

I hate to see a dedicated car guy pass away. Hot rods or not, we all have the car hobby in common.
I'm not into hot rods myself but I'm glad someone is, so the kids of today can see the cars of the past.
    RIP
