2009 Spotters Thread for NE Region

We are a few days away, so I thought I'd start the thread now before another e-brawl breaks out like last year.

I saw a red 355 the other day driving up and down 28 in Salem, NH

 

Any sightings yet?

 

First sighting of 2008 for me... Red 599 coming down Tremont St in downtown Boston this afternoon around 2:30.

First 599 i've seen on the street in Boston.

Wow if anything i would expect to see one on newbury street. anyways yellow f430 with smoked challenge rims and tubi exhaust by the prudential.

 

Red 430 going North on 128 this afternoon in the Peabody area. Nice to see in the winter!

 

Wow. Nice to hear what makes/models cars are on the road right now in New England. Mine are all in storage until Spring and suddenly I feel like I am being a bit over-protective.

saw a white diablo with wing and black wheels on rte 37 in cranston this afternoon...

 

Wow, I've been spotted! I was just a mile from my house out to get some gas and do a quick blast down 37. Just learning my new kevlar clutch which is VERY sensitive. It felt like I was driving a standard for the first time!

 

As I was leaving the dealership today, I think I saw an oncoming white ford GT with blue stripes.... flying

 

Red F430 Flying up 93N about 10 miles north of Boston today around 1 ish. Nice!

 

I saw a georgeous Ferrari 328 GTS on Saturday around 5 pm on Federal Hill in Providence

 

yesterday spotted a silver z8 on chestnut st, providence

 

not an M5 sighting, but a little something better in the pic .. if u squint

R8? Had a chance to drive around Kampen, Netherlands in one of those Christmas eve last year. Very cool experience and a neat car, but nothing I'd get out of an FCar for.

 

Very clean Maserati QP on rt 37 in Cranston today.

 

Hey I noticed that Inskip took down the Maserati sign, and put up a Smart sign. I guess they weren't meant to carry exotics. I believe in the very early 90's they carried Lamborghini...but that was also very short lived.

They haven't carried Maserati in a few years. It didn't do well for them at all. I think they only did it to get their foot in the door with Ferrari and that never worked out. I also remember when they were a Lambo dealer a long time ago. (early 90's seems right) I used to drive down when I was in high school to drool. They had a twin turbo Countach in for service at one point.

 

thats funny, i think i remember that twin turbo countach too.

 

I haven't been by Inskip in at least 2 years so I guess I was surprised to learn they weren't a Maserati dealer anymore. I agree with you, and I also figured it was just to try to bring Ferrari into their dealership, which never happened. Interestingly they are/were owned by the same company that owns the BMW dealer in Newport/Middletown that used to carry Ferrari until the early/mid 1990s. I also spent lots of time drooling over Inskips cars when I was in high school, on fun afternoons my Father would occasionally buy something...mostly Porsches.

United Auto Group AKA PENSKI owns Inskip now and for the past few years. They did indeed own Maserati until the new BMW dealership was built. I believe they made A offer on FONE prior to Boch buying it. After the deal fell through and went to Boch they decided to get rid of Maserati

 

New black Maserati GT in Leominster Mass. today, supposedly the same owner of the previously crashed F430 last summer...
