Does anyone know weight of original manual standard 360 seats (not Daytona)? I want to replace them for sport seats from Sparco (OEM sport seats are too expansive) thinking about Sparco Monza 16kg each or Sparco Milano Perstige 20 kg each. Just wonder what is weight of standard seats not to buy something even heavier than i have currently....

Looks like i will not get the answer. Anyway i realy like the Sparco Milano Prestige, particularly the one in red leather. They look very similar to OEM sport seats and price is good. Just the weight 20 kg (aprox. 40 pounds) per seat seems to me too much. I checked some lighter seats but they look very bad to my taste and they are not even close to OEM shape which i like. I want only seat which look like the OEM sport seat and i want only red leather. I can of course buy some none leather seat and let it cover by leather later but i can not find any other seat with same shape as OEM sport, with good qualitya and reasonable price. Milano seems to me as best choice. I can accept the weight of Milano if its not far away from original. Whats your opinion? Is 20 kg less or more tham stadard or dayton seats?

Search for threads with the Harmony seats. I believe that he gives some weights in one of those threads. There are pictures too. Who knows, you may just love their seats.

    3 ways to save 63kg's (139 lbs!)

approx 54kg's (119lbs) for a pair of normal 360 seats.
    vs
approx 26kg's for a pair (57 lbs) of optional (sparco made) carbon sports seats

You can easily shed 63kg's off the Modena in 3 simple step (no ripping out the carpets required..)

    -28kg's Optional Factory Carbon Seats.
    -10kg's Red top gel battery.
    -25kg's Titanium timate exhaust.
    -------
    -63kg's
    --------

Not bad considering most Strad's only saved about 80kg's (not the full 110kg's) because they where optioned ou with regular side windows (vs plexi-glass) and had the stereo optioned back in again ;).

very interesting. I had no idea the seats were that heavy. Are you sure about the battery, that you can save 22 lbs with the switch?
NIce work, how much is your 6sp cs going to weigh and where else did you save lbs?

I was going to respons as I had put the Harmony Sport seats in my 360 but it was the electric seats I took out and were 70 lbs each I was surprised at how heavy they were.

There are lots of battery threads. Trev, I measured and the Optima Red Top and it doesn't fit, too tall. Were you meaning the Odessey 925? That definitely saves 22 lb.

You can save a lot of weight with seats. I have changed to carbon fiber seats in several cars and the difference is large. The electric seats have electric motors in them that do the adjusting and they are heavy. The factory carbon fiber seats are just a thin carbon fiber shell with light padding and leather.

I bought an Odyssey 925, it weights 10.67kg's (23.52 lbs) vs the FIAMM stock lead acid battery which weighs a shocking 21kg's (46.3 lbs) . A great weight saving!

I fitted the version with no metal jacket [since metal jack is not required for the footwell], but with automotive terminals.

Guys, thanks for your feedbacks. Just to summarize it from my point of view.

    Daytona 360 seat......................aprox. 32 kg / each (70 lb)
    Original standard 360 seat...........aprox. 27 kg / each (59,50 lb)
Harmony spor seat....................aprox. 18 kg / each including mounting hardware (40 lb)
OEM CF sport seat....................aprox. 13 kg / each (58,50 lb)

    Sparco Milano Prestige..............aprox. 20 kg / each (44 lb)

I do not like Harmony sport seats in terms of shape - i do not like the Daytona look. Even there would be possibility for other look, they cost is 3000 usd/per seat - too much for me.

I love OEM CF sport seat, however i am not ready to spend such crazy money for them.

So if i chose Sparco Milano Prestige which i can buy for 1199 eur / per seat, they look great, excellent quality and i love the red ones. I will be lighter compare to standard or Daytona, of course heavier than CF. But considering the price i can live with this fact. I will be lighter than the most existing 360´s (they have mostly standard or Daytona....). Am i right ?

    Petr,

    Check out these

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110229562330

They are lighter than the factory Sparco CF seats and can be retrimmed in leather or non offensive alcantara (ok the standard logo'd up cloth is nasty but thats very easy to correct). Also these are VERY comfortable seats being fully adjustible and are available at a great price.

Thanks Trev, i will consider them. Do you know the weight? I did not find it.

Price is good but if i consider shipping which seems to me very high and fact i have to rework them with leather, i am on same price as the Sparco. I like more the Sparco look, which is more close to OEM. So its something to consider. Sparco which i like more for shape or these which are much more lighter. Not sure....

Sorry, much mis-information here about oem seats.

Power 360 seats are about 58 pounds.

Manual 360 leather seats with lumbar and full leather are 43 pounds.
These figures include the tracks. The tracks are heavy duty and weigh around 10 pounds. Thus, the seats tehmselves are in the low 30s. This compares much better to the Sparco Modena boat anchors which weigh 38.6 pounds WITHOUT the tracks.

Seems the OEM seats w/out power are a great way to go. Or, jump into something like Cobra Misano at 25 pounds, give or take.
