Doubt it. He'll find some other reason to complain.

Are you guys sure he's really British? He doesn't seem to care much for his own GP.

    Hi John

Funny you mentioned that, I was watching a old Top Gear program, last night and Clarkson was interviewing Justin Hawkings (rock singer band The Darkness) and they asked him where he was from and it was Lowestoft the most easterly point of the United Kingdom. Clarkson said thats where Bernies from isn't it? as in no one was to sure..

So I looked it up : F1 Supremo (Born near Bungay and lived on Denmark Road in Lowestoft) Bungay is in Suffolk http://www.bungay-suffolk.co.uk/

It does appear he has forgot his roots though..

Steve - Let's be magnanimous and believe that he just wants his home GP track and facilities to be as good as those elsewhere and not deteriorate into the *rse end of F1 circuits. ;)

Yes Ian agreed, I do believe it does need money spent on it, and it should be the best..:)

But even if it is as good as the best (and it's already better than some, like Brazil...), unless Bernie can get as much $ out of it as from the government-backed races in countries with little or no racing heritage, he'll go elsewhere. The UK government has already made it clear they are not going to shell out to make one of their richest private citizens even richer........

I might be completely wrong but I don't think he would axe the British GP. I think he'll use the threat of doing so to get the owners to improve things, but unless the circuit and facilities get really bad it'll stay on the calendar.

The link wouldn't open for me, so I'm not sure if it has the following Bernie requirements:

Plenty of private landing space for his helimachopter
Strategically-placed risers for him to stand on
Lots and lots of new obstructive private paddocks to replace those pesky general admission wastes of land
Barracks for the leprechaun-prevention security corps
