Nice topic Nth, your picture taking skills have really improved recently. I'm not sure about the looks of that Saleen, I can't decide if it looks better than the GT500 or not.

    Webby,
I don't think I am "just lucky" to see many supercars.
I actually organized Supercar Drives with the owners in Los Angeles area.

The 427 LPE TT sounds serious!

FYI, the displacement #'s on the 69 and 70 are reversed if the engines are correct in the cars. Or they have been changed (same as the 62). Just mentioning in case you want to verify and edit.

I may be getting the year wrong on the 454 Corvette... the one that belongs to him is a "survivor"

BUt I'm pretty sure it's a 69 or 70... as to the 62 with the 350... maybe that was a 305? I know the other 62 is def. a fuelie.

FYI last year for a 427 was 69 (Until now again of course!)
First year for the 454 was 70
The 62 would have come with a 327.

Please stop me before I start talking about bolt markings and proper overspray on shock absorbers!!!!

You should have been in my English class in 6th grade. (1973!) My 30 minute required book report/speach was about Corvette evolution and stuff. I covered EVERYTHING! Gauge lenses, sway bars diameters, bore and stroke, etc... Put the ENTIRE class, teacher included, to sleep. There was a mad scramble for the door when the bell rang and I just kept on rambling.

Again, thanks for allowing us to access this fine collection. I always watch for your updates.

    Bill

SMS: That book report story is a funny one! I know what yur sayin. I spent 4 years restoring an early 63 coupe by the numbers and it was a huge job. Mechanically the car was simple, but "restoring to correct" was very hard to do. When I was done the car was gorgeous and perfect, but sadly too perfect to drive. I eventually sold it and bought a fun-to-drive ZR-1 (great cars).

    Sorry for this momentary hijact.....

Things I am apt at is telling the difference between each year of the C1 corvettes based on the body, and interior treatments... even if I cleverly neglected to know the small block is a 327 ;)

    Happy to oblige!

Lowered, some extra options here and there, a new nose, and a big supercharger pounding out well over 500 hp :)

That vette is special too.... a 'one of one' Rick Mears edition Corvette ZR1 from 1990 wearing Boyd Coddington billit wheels
