    Hi Guys

I´ve being really busy painting 2 more artworks, and I think you might like to see the progress as in the previous ones.

The original picture was taken by a extraordinary photographer and fellow Fchatter, Patrick Ernzen. right now I´m producing my artistic version of his stunning picture.

I had a "little" accident with my painting, I spilled black painting over the sky when it looked good to me, and right now I´m struggling to fix it, as I liked it a lot in the beginning and right now I don´t.

I will appreciate your honest oppinions, about the general artwork, and of the new Sky, because I think I might paint all over with white, and then re paint it again to see if It can look a little better than now.

    Best regards

    Ever

I believe the accident has been corrected. He said he spilled black paint over the sky, so what you're seeing is after cleaned that up and repainted the sky.

Looking great Ever! The sky looks very good, except the middle section looks a little odd... I think it's just that it doesn't really match the rest of the sky very well. I'm guessing that's where the paint was spilled? Amazing work with the shading on the car itself. What size is it and what kind of paint are you using? It looks like the red, at least, is airbrushed, correct?

I actually paint as well, but most of my stuff isn't even close to photo realistic.

Hi Pal, right now I´m only working on the paintings, and haven´t had any chance to update my website, it´s www.exclusivescale.com you can see the kind of work I do there, but the paintings are not complete nor updated since I made the website like 2 years ago. Right now I´m looking for a store or gallery to show and sell my paintings, but haven´t find one that can help me out well. If you need anything feel free to PM at any time. =)

Yes, the paint spilled in the middle section of the sky, I really liked the way it looked in the first picture, and then, after the correction of my accident it looked really weird.
The size of the artwork is 35" x 50" (about 90cm x 125cms) and yes, most of the red is airbrushed and then detailed with a fine paintbrush to get all the reflections and lines in the car.
I´m going to paint for 5 hours tomorrow, I hope I can get it near to a finish stage. will post update pictures so you can see If I fix it, or screw it more =)
You should post some pictures of your paintings! because if you paint the same way you take pictures, you deserve an gold medal!! I love your photographs!! I´m a real fan of your photography!

    Regards

    Ever Lopez

I figured it was pretty large based on the photos, nice. Any updates? I'm really looking forward to seeing the final product.

Thanks, always nice to hear people like my photography. :) I don't know that I'd say I "paint the same way I take pictures", but people have said there are some similarities. These are my most recent three. I don't really paint very often actually. I really need to be in the right mood to do it and I'm rarely in that mood. I've done some automotive stuff, but this is the kind of stuff I like to do the most. They're all kind of similar, but two of the three are in my bedroom, so I wanted them to sort of match. All three are acrylic on canvas.

My most recent. Top panel is 72"x14" and the bottom is 36"x14".

This one is a slightly different, but with a very similar pallet and feel. It's in my brother's bedroom.

Nice! I love the textures, I hope one day I get rid of my fears and start adding texture to my paintings, maybe for the local ones, because most of my artwork is exported, rolled in a shipping tube, and the texture will break off if rolled. =(

    thanks for sharing.
I will post more pictures of the painting tomorrow, since today I´m going to work in it all day.
    Best regards

    Ever

Thanks Ever. Yeah, obviously I really like texture and such. And yeah, that would concern me as well. I've only shipped a couple paintings (I've never actually sold any) and they didn't have much texture at all, so it wasn't a problem. The largest one I've shipped was this one, which I made as a Christmas gift for my dad (he used to own a Camaro just like it). It's 84x60in, so the front end is actually just about life-size.
