    I recognized the prints. I was introduced to MCE many years ago. I forget exactly how/when, but he was reproduced frequently in the 70's and early 80's, partly due to the book Godel, Escher, Bach by Douglas Hofstadter.

    Escher is one of my favorites. I have a few books on his work. Really an inventive mind.

    Could you please explain to me how the last one is an optical illusion? I tried, but can see nothing.

    I just bought 10 more of his works from the states, cant wait!

    Not all of Escher's artworks are "optical illusions". Many merely express the seamless, timeless, and endless patterns of the world we perceive.

    I've loved his work since early teenhood.

    My professional life is filled with complex 3D spatial relationships, and I find quiet joy in replicating elegant patterns within the streams of cold numbers.
