Both events are good events I been to both but now I only go to Pocono-CSD.

The italian car event is just that... Any Italian cars with some other makes (not much) mix in. I also think its the East Coast Annual Ferrari, Maserati and Lambo Meet.

Pocono-CSD is "POCONO-A Celebration of Speed & Design" There are Ferrari, Lambos, Maserati, Viper, Corvette, DeTomaso, Jaguar and some other Ford power car (Etc. A/C Cobra, Ford GT, GT-40, 1 or 2 full race Mustangs) they also have some other cars mix in too. This year Pocono-CSD is only one track day (monday) do to NASCAR needing the track but the Viper club is working on something for Sat. (will let you know when I know). They will have 2 days of track next year again and I hope keep what The Viper Club is working on.

Last time I checked Ferraris were Italian cars. The East Coast Annual Ferrari Meet at Le Belle Macchine d'Italia June 20 - 23 does permit non Italian cars to participate, but unlike Pocono CSD it is restricted to higher end cars. There won't be any $5,000 Mustangs, Camaros or kit car GT40s on the track with your Ferrari.

    Other difference include:

Le Belle Macchine d'Italia is the only 2 day Ferrari track event at Pocono

Le Belle Macchine d'Italia has Certified Professional Instructors, Pocono CSD does not.

Le Belle Macchine d'Italia has Certified Professional Corner Workers, Pocono CSD does not.

Le Belle Macchine d'Italia offers the opportunity to ride with a Lamborghini Factory Test Driver at speed on Pocono Raceway

Special Guests will include the designer of the Ferrari 330 2+2 and 365 California Spyder.

Also at Le Belle Macchine d'Italia all participants pay the same track fee. Where at Pocono CSD, Ferrari and other Italian car owners must pay a higher track fee than other owners. I guess they figure Ferrari owners have more money so they can pay more.

It is interesting that Pocono CSD charges Ferrari owners $50 less for one day of track than Le Belle Macchine d'Italia charges for 2!

You can call it snobbish, we call it protecting the investment of our participants from pimple faced kids in their hopped up Mustangs that want to brag to their friends how they blew off a Ferrari or Lamborghini at Pocono Raceway.

Do you want to cover the cost when that Mustang owner tries to outbrake a Ferrari going into Devils Elbow and takes out both cars? Mustang $5,000 write off. Ferrari $100,000 + write off. If you want to call that snobbish fine.

It is always safer when the person in the car next to you has an equal amount to lose. Keeps people from doing something stupid.

when there is a 333sp at an event...I think restricting the runs to a 40k car and up isnt an awfully horrible thing...PDA offers events all the time anyway.

WOW sounds like you don't like the Pocono-CSD event...! By looking at your board name you must be someone who help put on the Le Belle Macchine d'Italia.

Like I said before both are nice events I just preferred the Pocono-CSD event.

So to stay on topic rooms are filling up if you want to go to Pocono-CSD get reg today :)

I have participated in this event several times ( and was seriously considering attending this year)and there are PLENTY of $5,000-$10,000 Alfas and Fiats out there on the track as well as some $25,000-$30,000 Ferraris. I am not saying it is not a great event. It is an amazing event! There are some AMAZING cars there! It is an Italian car event and the Mustangs & Corvettes should NOT be allowed there. I just think it is pretty SH**ty to post derogatory comments on a post about a RIVAL event. If you want to promote your event, start a new post about it.Don't hi-jack this one.

not really. he was responding to my question about the differences between the events. In fact, it was just the info i was looking for. this is an open discussion forum, not an advertisement for an event. If you don't want negative comments about your post, buy a banner.

If you are going to make a statement, it is good to check your facts first. A Fiat has NEVER participated in regular track sessions during Le Belle Macchine d'Italia. (Not including the slow speed, no passing, single file Lunch Touring behind a pace car sessions). Below are pictures of the only Alfa Romeos that have participated on a regular basis. Hardly a 5k car, more like 500k.

While we have offered Alfa, Fiat and other small bore owners track time, it was only on the condition that a minimum of 25 owners sign up for track sessions so we could create a separate group for those cars. As of yet it has never happened.

The organizers of Pocono CSD have spent the last 6 years trying to undermine Le Belle Macchine d'Italia. Starting from day 1 when they tried to confuse people that their event was Le Belle Macchine d'Italia by calling their event Le Automobili d'Italia and holding their event at the same hotel that at one time hosted Le Belle Macchine and using the same format. Only under threat of legal action did they change the name to Pocono CSD.

They have tried to organize boycotts, have spread false rumors, tried to undermine Le Belle Macchine's relationship with its sponsors and contracted service providers. The fact of the matter is that the organizer of Pocono CSD was kicked out of club of which he was a founding member and one time President for reasons directly related to his efforts to undermine Le Belle Macchine d'Italia.

Unlike what the organizers of Pocono CSD and their minions have done to Le Belle Macchine d'Italia, we have never told anyone not to attend Pocono CSD. We simply do things in the American tradition of trying to produce a better product, for less money.

I also don't try to hide my identity and my connnection to Le Belle Macchine d'Italia and have been active on Ferrari Chat for years. Where as 4nhotrod hides his identity and connection to Pocono CSD. He also has less than 10 posts on Ferrari Chat.

Could it be the same person that acts as moderator on Pantera International's forum and removes any posting that mentions Le Belle Macchine d'Italia?

funny, this is exactly why i asked the question. I have never been to either event. I also have no connection to either event. I had planned to attend la belle machina this year and was confused about this event. Thanks for clearing it up. See you at la belle macchine.
