Does anyone have experience with Opera 8.65 on Windows Mobile? I have read the reviews and I am aware of the 30 day free trial, I am just interested if it is worth my time. FYI I'm using a T-Mobile Dash with Windows Mobile 5, 2GB MicroSD (if that is relevant) and using the OEM browser IE. Any advice would be appreciated (I also have no experience using Opera on a desktop).

to be honest, every other browser i've tried with my phone [PPC 6700] has been clunky and slow, even when run from internal memory. I've tried both mozilla and opera. They are much more functional than IE is in terms of options [tabs, etc], but they're simply too slow. I still just use IE on my phone. Also, the reason i havent upgraded ot the ppc6800/mogul is that with the older 6700, sprint can't tell when i'm tethering ;)

Thanks Bryan. Playing around with it I have encountered some very strong wi-fi signals and it seems to mostly be signal strength, I.E. it appears to not load because it doesn't get the signal even though it is showing good reception. I'll probably just stick with IE. :D

Memory isn't much better on the Mogul. I use Opera 8.65 though, so far so good. I like it better than any of the other offerings PIE and Thunderhawk. Pretty ancy to see what Skyfire is all about though.

That's fairly strange. What phone do you have?
