Yeah it's a big shame NO TV, so I will be soaking it up from pit lane to the MAXX. Channel 10 have the say on what goes free to air locally from the GP as I understand.
More than welcome, Sunday our car will be in the pit lane for the walk through at 6.45 am after that we will prep it for the race. The post race the pack up will not be rapid as we can't get truck's in until after the F1 is finished. Cheers
It's the same when cricket's in town, if they don't sell an exorbitant amount of tickets, they won't televise in the hope that people will buy tickets to see it.
I don't know but Channel 10 and the F1 have all the rights as far as I understand, I haven't looked into it too much but SAD that the category will not be shown, add's some variety with David and Goliath battle's ie Lotus vs Ferrari's etc.
As far as motorsport is concerned we're a country of morons. Just look at the adverts shown during the V8 races - what do you think the ROI on advertising $$$ is on the minority that is us? There was 6 months of massive campaigning for the Bogan 500 up to the event, want to know how many F1 ads I've seen... zero. It "appears" that nobody here cares - but really it's just nobody that buys the sh*t that gets advertised on motorsport here cares. Why would anyone pay the $$$ to show the exotics? The savvy high-end enthusiasts just aren't a significant demographic when you have access to such a broad audience of idiots with easy modern finance options.

I was thinking if Adelaide had the balls, as they did when Bannon was around, they could put its hand up and offer a night GP, all experienced and great at running events.Would be a good chance! the crowd figures this year will be loaded eg kids under 12 free,KIss concert and as we talk bus loads of school rats are being trucked in.F6uck it off and give the Government money to Peter Mac,Childrens hospital ect.
yeah that's so true, put the money in some where really useful. make Melbourne the most livable city again, lately it has becoming a joke! considering most people don't know Melbourne, and it is hardly a tourist town, the only thing we have better than other cities in AUS is crown casino. Sydney has enough tourist anyway, don't need the F1. f@rk it off to another third world country where they want the world to know how they can play with the big dogs. care factor zero!
