on ITV. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised that if Massa didn't apologize to DC, that DC would once again grab Massa by his scrawny little neck. DC and Massa had a similar incident in France and when Massa gave DC the bird, DC grabbed Massa by the throat in Massa's rental car. Massa sucks and should be replaced by Vettel immediately.

Video has been rejected and pulled from Youtube because the F1 Management are ****ing ***holes.

I believe this is DC's quote, if Massa doesn't apologize "I'm going to kick 3 colors of **** out of the little bas****".

A cage match has been arranged for Malaysia, the Scot is heavily favored over the scrawny Brazilian.

OK, this is where those that constantly criticize DC chime in and somehow for this purpose make him an angel. Give me a break. I have no idea what happened, I wasn't standing at this corner, TV is a bit one dimensional.

Could be Massa's error, maybe not, but there is this term called a racing accident. So far, the race marshall's have cited no penalty to anyone. And certainly NO ONE on this forum knows for sure. Unless, is the race broadcast in halographic HD?? With surround sound and surround picture???

Oh dear, I can't seem to remember, who was the driver that ran into the back of his teammate in 2007 at Fiji? I think it rhymed with settle, or kettle, something like that. That's right, his name is Vettel!! To think, some people would like him on the same team as Raikkonen. ;} At least Massa hasn't booted Kimi. Kimi got enough booting when his teammate ran into him at turn one of Indianapolis, I think that was a guy whose name rhymed with Goya.

It was a racing incident for me.

Does Coulthard remember Spa 1998? He shouldn´t be kicking rivals asses around the paddock after that. By the way, Coulthard was the same one who almost cut someone´s head in a similar accident in 2007.

I thought it was great! I don't think the crash was anyones fault - these things happen in F1, but if I was Coulthard I would be unhappy and I'm very pleased he let us know how he is really feeling instead of just telling us how disapointed he is for a long list of sponsors.

This is vintage Massa. He blew it at the start and he pranged DC.

You can argue points all day long in the same way that conspiracy theorists argue that the US didn't land on the moon, which will not change the fact that the truth shall remain the truth without regard to personal bias. Massa is at best a decent driver. He is prone to rookie mistakes and brain fade. He is prone to losing the plot halfway through the book and settling for what fate gives him. He shrugs his shoulders when presented with difficulty and fades away.

He is a good example of a smart, talented person that learns a craft through many years of being a student. He can display daring speed and race craft, and sometimes some measure of consistency. What he lacks is the innate ability to be a predatory racer. He doesn't have passion for racing or the instinct or even the confidence to act on instinct; he can only do what he's been programmed to do. Ask any more out of him beyond what he has been told to do and he is immediately out of his depth.

Massa is a skilled driver. Sometimes he is a passionate driver. Sometimes he is an excellent driver. During a rare moon, he possess every trait that I just highlighted.

What Massa will never be is a skilled racer. He will never be a passionate racer....and he doesn't have the innate ability to be a racer that can combine skill with learning and transform that into a WDC.

The point I made earlier about Massa being a perpetual student is a fairly important point. Guys like Schumi, Kimi, Alonso and Ham (to name a few) started racing in F1 holding a Ph.D.

Does this mean that Massa is rubbish? At Ferrari he is. Put him in a Force India car and his knowledge and ability to drive and experience would be priceless. In any event, he is another David Coulthard. Another Rubinho. Just another driver way out of his depth in a top-flight team who would be of better use and more importance in a Toro Rosso than in a Ferrari.

And before you doubt, it was by sheer LUCK that Stepneygate was discovered and Ferrari was gifted the WCC in light of McLaren's exclusion from WCC points. I don't know what the money spread is between 1st and 2nd, but I'm pretty sure it would buy a lot of guys on the grid who are a LOT better than Massa and more deserving of that 2nd Ferrari race seat.

    Food for thought.

"Coulthard calls Massa a Piece of ****"

Well that's high praise -- given that he used to say much the same about Schumi. ;)

I think Kimi and Massa should have gone out for a drink to relax before this race. :D They were both too wound up, and they let the cars drive them.

But the failure was team wide: reliability, tactics, ... The team went out and just plain fumbled, on all points.

It was an aggressive move by Massa, but I thought a good one. DC made an equally aggressive move trying to close the door, but made it too late to do anyting but cause a crash.

Now traction control has gone we've seen the best of Massa - give him 2 yrs and he'll be heading to IRL.

Remember what he was like the last time there were no driver aides - just ask Peter Sauber.

Coulthard would be better advised to watch his mirrors a tad more rather than shooting off his mouth - he could also learn from the undoubted star of OZ, Sebastian Bourdais.Coulthard would be better following his fellow scots McNish and Franchitti to ALMS.

You don't like Massa - I get that point.

    But....

Your post does not really make sense - a lot of words with no meaning IMHO.

Looked like almost all the teams had the proverbial "monkey f**king a football" mentality yesterday. How bout the Honda guys misqueueing their fuel delivery and having Ruebens rip the fuel rig all to hell? It was entertaining though.

That was my view too. Massa tucked in and held his ground. DC had plenty of room on the outside, he chose to track in. He either thought Massa would back down or he didn't see him.

Hilarious for a suposed top line driver to spin out on the start without getting hit from anybody, I didn't see the rest of the 21 drivers doing that.

i called it before this season began! just you wait, they are going to run out of excuses sooner rather than later:) now, i've said it, and i'll say it again..

i support Ferrari, which means, i want every part of the team, especially drivers, to do the most they can with what they are given. i might not like every driver that gets a ride, but i have this thing... if you can't, day in day out, race after race, drive to the max potential of the car--one of the fastest cars on grid, then another perhaps better qualified driver should take your place. that's the standard i've held for the drivers. Massa was like an amateur when he drove along side Shumi, and now he looks like the same again. Yeah, his best shot of winning WDC was last year, and that was with EVERYTHING stacked up in his favor. it's going to be a long season for the Shumassa heretics. and it's going to be a longshot, the WCC.
