Although, I cannot yet reveal any details....My F40 will have a twin joining it in the garage in a few days. :)
Due to the falling value of the dollar, I felt it necessary to invest in more "Red Gold". :)
This F40 was not advertized for sale. I was just lucky enough to know the owner at a time when it was right for him to
    pass along custodial responsibility.

    Joe,

    Always happy to help.

Now you will have to suffer the inquiries, until photographic proof of F40 twins can be proffered...

    Thanks all!

The gentleman who has so graciously agreed to sell me his F40 understands my reasoning for wanting another F40......
    It's simple.....
While my present F40 is quite nice, the new one is a testament to how a collector Ferrari should be maintained.

My old F40 is getting an extended clean-up. We are replacing many parts and pieces with NOS items....More of an effects of age restoration, than anything. As F40 parts are getting harder to obtain, I felt that this was a good time to aquire and use them.
For anyone interested, I will have a decent supply of slightly used parts. :)

Awesome new car. Can't wait to see pics.

68 and on it might as well have just been an SE offered by Ford. Shelby's after 67 were far too watered down for my taste. Take that back, Shelby's after 65 are far watered down far more than I would want in an after market Mustang in the muscle car hay-day. If I ever get a chance to drive one without the abundance of later creature comforts I might have a change of heart though. ;)

this 67 GT500 is a real beast... maybe still to watered down with its huge nasty cam 428?

I would have thought an addition of a 288GTO instead of a second F40 would make more sense. The two models are closely related and the 288 is oh so sexy! :)

The 67 had a 427. ;) It was watered down compared to the 65 GT350 with it's stripped interior, and lack of options. Really a race car for the street(and went completely against the premise of "build it your way" like the Ford version.) Every year after that was laced with optional equipment, but the idea that "it comes perfect" that was there in 65 is undeniably cool.

The 428 in 68 was an awesome motor, but alas, it could be had in any Mustang. Kind of brings the cool factor down. *shrug*

Still waiting for the pictures of your new beast. ;)

Looking forward to seeing the images of them together. many people have had two myself included but never at the same time. I think it's a great idea! I'm trying to get a good F40 again, but it's not so easy finding a good one. The new cars Enzo etc are really not that great - not for me anyway. Once again a great idea and well done on getting two!

If all goes well with the transport...My guess is that the car should be delivered, next week, late Tuesday or Wednesday.
The driving distance is 2310 miles, door to door. For the would be detectives out there...The mileage is a clue as to which/who's F40 it was. ;)

Hey Joe, the amount of "Horse-Trading" that has taken place in the last week has been memorable.

And to think of the cross-country shenanigans we must engage in to obtain the best.... DHL, an elusive agent, a bit of drama... all we needed was a plane crash or a train wreck and we'd have the script for a movie!

Good things are coming to you. Meanwhile Im off to the warehouse next week to check stock, and meet whats arriving there :)
