My first job whilst I was at uni was at Essendon Airport working for a company involved with charter and maintenance of private jets (Citations, G-IV/GVs, Canadairs etc). The company also did heavy maintenance on an ex-Ansett F27 Fokker Friendship which was used by the Navy for recon work (or something... I forget now). I went out with the engineers one afternoon to test the cabin pressurisation. We taxied the F27 under its own power to a remote part of the airport and pressurised the cabin and IIRC, we ran each engine up to max power. The next day it went up for its test flight... I wasn't allowed to go up for OH&S reasons. However, I still think that was an awesome place to work for a uni student!
i know you like a bit of bang pap so you should like this ........... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mB-q52hVLI
That was cool man. I did have a video of a mine face being fired underground! It would be one of the coolest videos you would ever see mate. I do not know what I did with it, but I will try and get again from work and post it here. Picture a flat rock wall (face) 6 metres high and 6 metres wide. 10-20 holes are strategically drilled into the rock face by Jumbo drill rig operators. Ring firers then charge the face/holes with explosives. Then at 8pm and 8am EVERY day, BOOM!! They fire the rings one at a time and bring the bad boy down. Amazing stuff mate, I will try and track it down next week.
i went today and had a look at a 400i ...but he was askin 90k for it.............ive seen the same car for less .........still worth thinkin about....
sorry man 400 IA.....is there a big difference between the 2 ...any regs might be able to reply to this .... http://yahoo.drive.com.au/used-cars/FERRARI/400/Brisbane/detail.aspx?id=3283374&pg=1&pp=11&d=0&nv=1&SG=-1744248307&pt=1
Nope. I saw the same car there last September. I didnt pay much attention to it sorry. Looks pretty clean though. Who knows what its really like underneath? They only made 883 400IA in total from 79-84. Of that, how many RHD I dont know?? Could be a rare car? If you are into that sort of thing? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I went for a drive yesterday with an good friend that I grew up with, Sinesio. Sinesio left town over 10 years ago and is back here visiting some old friends. I let him have a drive also. He LOVED every minute of it!! He couldnt stop raving about how fantastic the 348 is. He had around 30 mins drivetime. Its a shame we have such boring roads here, but he still had a great time!! Funny you mention that....... He is just on 160cm tall and he had the seat ALL the way forward. He could only just reach the pedals comfortably!! If the seat would have gone forward another inch, it would have been a perfect driving position for him reckons.
the best place to drive a 348 is from behind the wheel of a 308QV been away from my baby for a week , missed her terribly, she loves the rain ... ever seen the rain in the Isa pap ??
i just mean plp who are a bit smaller seem to fit ferraris alot better ......but the newer ones are alot better ............those early ferrari had really tight footwells..........
