I am trying to gain information Where is the best place to send interior parts to if you want to have them redone like new. Im talking all of it dash seats door panels all of it. Done in the same color just bringing them back to new Dash covering is unknown at this time so mouse hair or leather not sure what was originally on it. The car is LP400S series 3 thanks johnny
First of all, be prepared to spend big bucks (probably in the area of at least $10K). Secondly, do you want it done in your area, or doesn't it make a difference? Will you be doing the dismantling of the interior, or will pay someone else to do it? If someone else does it, the 10K figure is out the window!
I would have thought the same job could be done in the US and probably local (ish) that could be done in Italy.
Darolls First Id like to tell you I will do all work on this car so Im the laybor, But in order to have a perfect interior I need to send it off to the best place to have it redone. EMILIO do you have info for Paratelli Im a virgin here so Im asking. But to help you out with what I have all the interior is already striped down to the fiberglass frames. The seats still have leather on them but it is trashed, Like I said this is a total resto. Thanks guys.
If you're doing the work you should start by posting pictures. This project will be hugely popular with the "peanut gallery" here and it will be easier for those of us familiar with the cars to assist you if necessary.

There is no benefit to shipping your stuff to Italy. If you get in a bind I can provide you with a world class interior guy right here in the good old US (still a little trek from where you are though).
If you have time, pay 1,400 dollars for a round trip ticket to Morocco. Bring everything with you. It will probably cost no more than 1,500 dollars for everything. If you can't do that, send someone else who can. They speak English ! My wife just returned from vacation. It is very safe.
I like Ralph's idea a lot. Add more intrigue and adventure to this story and hop a plane to Morocco and follow his advice. And keep us all informed through photos and 'story'. Return home safe with everything done beautifully AND on the cheap and live an adventure - document it all and write a freakin' book and I'll buy it!
'doh! Well, at the very least, since I've been to Monaco but not Morocco, I'd be experiencing something new. I have friends who brought back pics of the leather tanning/dying places in Morocco and it was off the hook.
Kie, I urge you to go the Morocco route and of course you will need a support staff (me ) who will take photos, scout out dangerous alley's, and since you will no doubt have your HOT lady with you, I will have to make sure and intercept all the sexy female double agents so they don't mess you two up! Of course they will stuff the Countach seats with some sort of highly illegal contraband making the return to the US full of challenge..I am here to help!
Do you know of anyone who has done this with countach parts? Not out of the question sounds like it would be a adventure but my passport is out of date and Im headed to Iraq so I think id need to send someone to do it. Maybe get 2 or more of us to all take our interior parts the morocco drop them off and party for however long it takes to recover them sounds like a vacation to me.
Chris and Peggy Bible. Bible auto interiors in Orlando, Florida. They do all the resto work for Ultimate Motors. Top notch. Had seats and shoulder bumpers in a Murci done there, work was impeccable. Shipped them to them and had them back in 6 days!!!
Tim, Question is: are there insurgents in Morrocco now? I mean if radical fundamentalists seize the Countach interior for use in military vehicles, do you have any recourse with local authorities? Just curious. Joe www.joesackey.com
Tru dat ___________ You cannot just drop the item and leave. You would have to wait, for all of the work to be finished. In addition, you would have to look in on the work at the time of fabrication, to make sure that the quality of the stitching is good. If you have the time, if would be worth it. Fez and Casablanca, both have a lot of leather fabrication shops. If you can take a three week vacation, it would be worth it. Mousehair ? I doubt it.
