NY Auto Show (PRESS DAYS) Meet up?

Anyone else attending? I know that NNN (Black355/yourk), Jalopnik, Autoblog, *************, etc, guys will all be there as well as handful of NY Tri-State members..

..if the weather holds out, I hope to have one of the GDC Ferraris or Lamborghinis out to take friends for tours if you're interested..

I wont be there until Friday unfortunately, but Saturday AM is what's up. Farnbacher Loles is racing a 997 Cup car against their cayman GTR for 6 blocks down 11th ave.

Martin (996TTurbo) and I will be there on Thursday as well as Saturday, would love to meet up with people.

 

I guess the Scuderia won't be there. I still saw her sitting in the Ferrari showroom yesterday.

 

Ferrari actually doesn't have a booth this year, we (MMC) brought over a black 430 coupe and that is it for seeing a Ferrari this year at the auto show.

 

What is the story behind that?

 

Not sure exactly.... all I know is that we were asked to supply a car because F wasn't going to be there this year.

I heard Ferrari was focusing on a track event for customers instead. There IS a GT2, btw. And Lambo unveiled the LP560-4 to the Americas today as well. Saw Emil and Jason and Kenny and Stephan around Javits, but have been stuck in the media center most of the day. You can see my team's stuff on Autoblog.com if you're interested. As strange as it sounds, the new Hyundai Coupe seems to be the big hit so far.

The Genesis, the LP560, the Maxima, and the Raptor were my fave new cars..

 

Did you actually see the Raptor? Sweet! I have to wait until tomorrow. Personally, I only saw a few cars but I always love seeing the newest exotics, supercars and just about anything fun. Mini Cooper S Clubman JCW for example.

 

Good seeing everyone at the show today...certainly not the best NYIAS I have attended, but still always a great time.

 

+1. Not much going on in the new car front- embargo breaking, leaks, and spy photos are kind of ruining the excitement of the show.

As Eric said- always a pleasure.. Shame the weather didn't cooperate- I literally drove the Gallardo 12 miles over the course of 3 hrs. Next time..
