    OK, enough of this negative banter, this thread is strictly to predict the outcome of the Malaysian Grand Prix this Sunday. I for one believe that Ferrari will figure out its problems, whether this be engine or ECU. Please, this is for entertainment, so do not attack another poster personally. Especially me Ted. ;}

So I will predict a Ferrari 1-2 in the following order:

    1) Massa
    2) Raikkonen
    3) Heidfeld
    4) Hamilton
    5) Heikki K
    6) Alonso
    7) Vettel
    8) Trulli

not necessarily in that order, but i presume hamilton to win, yet again....

And the race is this weekend or next?

As much as I want to see Ferrari win, It will be very hard to beat Hamster as Ferrari has no time to react to last weekend....Unless they find the guy in the stands with the off switch to the Ferrari ECU ;)

Unfortunately true. In 2007, it was Mclaren 1-2. Outside of their pesky, intermittant gearbox gremlins, there's not much to believe it won't be more of the same.

Based on the fact that it is raining there now and will continue to rain for the next week i'm going to say that only Kimi, Lewis, Heikki, Alonso, and (outside chance) Button have a chance at winning this.

I concur with Steve on this one up thru number 4. After that I must give credence to Nico, Heidfeld, Bourdais. I think we may see good things from Bourdais even though he is in a inferior car. A betting person would be foolish not to go with Lewis in all the races. Owing a Ferrari, I cheer for Ferrari - owing Mercedes Benz's, I cheer for Lewis. . . oh well . . .

Given Ferrari's issues, plus rain and no TC, I'm going for the long shot:

    1 Heidfield
    2 Kovalainen
    3 Alonso
    4 Kubica

... and I'm not sure there will be more finishers than that. ;)
(This is presuming that Lewis doesn't have his private crane on hand. :D)

(But I'd love to see Robert and Fred having it out for third. I'd rate Kubica higher, but he's had terrible luck with pit stops.)

Alonso is in a very tough spot. The Renault doesn't look as good as the BMW or the Williams but I think Hamilton has upped his game enough that he would have blown Alonso away had he stayed at McLaren.

Massa will DNF through driver error again. (sorry, Ron. I couldn't resist! :p )

I predict that Massa and Coulthard will finish the last lap over the Start/Finish with wheels locked together, come to a complete stop and then get out of their cars and beat the Sh*t out of each other . . . in three colors!

With rain, I have no idea which driver will do well without TC. I'd be guessing. And Ted you'd be guessing and wrong as usual. We have seen Kimi, Lewis, and Hekki drive well in the rain, but that was with TC. This should be interesting.

My hope is that this does not become some sort of boring parade, with drivers just cruising around lap after lap in the rain because they are afraid to pass. We may regret the loss of TC.

Like when I predicted Kimi would finish higher than Massa at Australia and that Massa would finish out of the points?

Like when I predicted that Massa would suffer with the loss of TC?

Like when I predicted Kimi would win the WDC and Massa would not finish 2nd in 2007?

Don't get me started or I will go back and catalogue your Massa predictions... :p

    Massa certainly does.

I deleted my initial response to you Ted, because I do not want this to turn into another really stupid Massa thread. Please hold off yourself, your position is understood, albeit questionable. I like Massa, I like Kimi, I do not care which wins the race or the WDC.

Everyone FYI, there are at least three other Massa threads, go there to vent. This thread is strictly for fun, please, OK?

Since it looks like rain, and no TC, I will change my prediction as follows:

    1) Heikki
    2) Kimi
    3) Fred
    4) Jensen
    6) Lewis
    7) Sebastion Vettel
    8) Phil

Qualifying position will be critical, if in rain, expect some drivers to qualify on fumes as being near the front on the start is safer. Guessing there will likely be high attrition, less than 10 cars will finsih.
