Hello: Are there any color combos that would hurt the resale for a 360 Modena? It seems like red with tan interior is a common one but I'm considering a 360 that is Titanium silver with grey interior. Is this gonna hurt me financially when it's all said and done... Thanks. cig1: don't know if you were kidding but i was actually thinking the same thing. the car is in mint condition, very low miles and selling for less than other models on the market. first, i thought something was wrong with it but everything seems to check out and it's coming from a reputable f-chatter... k.
It sounds like you just answered your own question. If you are into the color and the price is right, then go for it. I have noticed that in general the silver 360s seem to sell for a tad less than red, yellow, etc. I personally would never own a sports car in any shade of silver. Not because I don't like the color, I just don't prefer it on a sports car. However, clearly A LOT of people would put that color at the top of their list. Get what you like.
Titanium is a great color for the 360.. And yes, red is EASIER to sell, but maybe not pricier to buy. Just moves faster, I suspect. the grey interior may be more of an issue than the exterior color. DM Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had the same question for quite some time so I asked a few dealers. The bottom line is this... The BEST config for resale is red/tan. Second is yellow/tan. Third is red/black. Forth is yellow/black. Red and yellow seem to be the "enthusiasts" colors. Black would be third. Assuming the car to be the EXACT same other than color combos, there is a cheat sheet. The chart that was given to me goes like this: Red/tan = $200,000 Yellow/tan=$198,000 Red/black = $195,000 Yellow/black = $192,000 Black/tan=$190,000 Black/black=$188,000 Silver/tan = $180,000 Silver/black = $175,000 All other color combos are going to be $170,000 or less. Also, anything in a six speed will be less money over an F-1 unless you are talking about 360's. Then there isn't a lot of difference because the f-1 is generally "wanted" more but the cost to maintain them is considerably higher. Please don't flame my post because your car is not red or yellow. I'm just passing on what I have seen and heard. Clearly, get what you like and enjoy it!
I have never seen yellow/tan... always yellow/black. Also, TDF seems to be growing in popularity, as it should IMO.
+1 I think yellow cars look best with black interiors. I don't think tan works well on yellow or silver cars. For the OP: are you buying the titanium/grey car because it is your favorite combo or is it just a good deal?
It is not an off color combo, although like has been mentioned, it is not the MOST popular. Personally I prefer the TDF and tan. There are plenty of people that would like the silver and grey, so if it floats your boat, go for it! If it was purple or green you would really have to consider the saleability, but argento / ingrid / titanium are all good colors today. BT
I agree with much of what has been said above Red/Tan is likely the most saught after and easiest color combo to move so if you are flexible on color hold out for the right red/tan 360. But, if you prefer another color buy what you like and sell it when your done. Just know that it may be harder to move than red/tan
