Here is link to the art being repo'd, it was in a link that you posted....The boat was in one of the google searches and I don't have time to find it right now....I am sure Abolfaz can tell us more about it since he lives in the area and knows about all the boats in the area.

It's just getting really fragmented. People now have a choice as to what they'll 1) listen to and 2) buy. That's a lot of power in consumer hands.

Some acts will be rich and famous in the future. You cannot download a concert experience - most musicians make the bulk of their money from touring. People are definitely sick of rap music, though. The consumer doesn't need to wait for the industry to realize this, they'll just move on without them.

I cant remember a time in the past when there wasnt a single musical style popularizing the mainstream.

Disco, New Wave, Hair Metal, Rap, Boy Bands,etc... seems like there was always one that was obviously the most popular for its time.

Right now it seems like the music biz is really fragmented and no one style is dominating. I thought Emo might do it but as big as Fall Out Boy, Panic! and At The Drive In are they dont seem to have the same presence that others have in the past.

As for Storch...could he blow all his cash ? Sure...others have in the past. But its doubtful and rare that it happens.

Metallica, U2, and Depeche Mode still sell out every venue they play....I still get tickets for these 3 when I can, their shows never get old.

IMO, it's because the type of bands you mentioned have at least 2 other bands that preceeded them, but sound all alike. Instead of taking influence from bands they like and creating there own sound, they just paraphrase them so to speak.

These bands know basic guitar/bass chords, and simple drum beats. There are hardly any mainstream bands that play "great" music in terms of using their instruments. Take Travis Barker for instance. He is a great drummer, but his skill is hidden behind the crappy sounds of Blink 182, or what was.

The one thing I will say is that rock music (even a lot of pop rock) still seems to be the last true music. They are the only ones that don't hide behind pre-recorded tracks in live performances. Even country singers are doing this crap. Probably why rock will always be my favorite form of music, especially the less known underground bands.

Where did you hear that he is nowhere close to being broke? Why don't you call his cell real quick and have him bounce in this thread with another pic of him with a cigar in his mouth holding one of his past due cc bills....Then we will believe you over the rest of the world:D:D

I have no sides to take like I said before he seems to be a nice guy and I hope he makes it out okay.

It's also the reason for Madonna ditching her label and striking a 120million dollar deal with Live Nation. Live shows are where all the money is nowadays.

Do you have an explanation for what's going on then?

Funny how every hip hop fan on FChat descended upon this thread to defend this guy.

    It's Hammer time! Buh-bye.

I am not a huge boat man, but I have seen boats appraised at $3,000,000 much nicer than that.

I guess I had a geezer moment, I thought this thread was about "Larry Storch" from the F-troop TV show. (from the 1970's).
I figured if we all sent in $100 we could save our old friend Larry from bankruptcy.

Obviously, "Scott Scorch" is some rapper/new wave producer, so I have no sympathy for his personal financial melt-down.
I hope the owners of his high-end boats and cars enjoy them in good health.
