    PS: You mean 70's bodywork.

The "S" came to life in late 1977.

    Love the early "S"

    ;)

    James in Denver....,
the LP 400 is not beautiful -- its breathtaking! If you restore the car and drive it a lot (I drove mine over 30,000 km`s within little more then 2 years) it will be reliable. The reason for the myth of non-reliable Lamborghinis are for 90%...their owners!

    Ciao!

No other car on this planet ever had this "Star-Wars"-interior appeal and scenic when looking out of the front-screen! What a car - makes many new cars still looking ...old!

    Ciao!

it is not an LP400: no periscope, S steering wheel

I would say it is a S1 due to the exposed metal window crank.

There are a lot of red/tan S1. But the mirror is the give away. Still it could be any one of these 3 cars in order of what I think:

    1121036
    1121026
    1121014

Given the nature of the question and how it is asked I think it is 1121036 for which the mirror just got put back to originals (so I heared).

I will tell you for sure if you put a pict of the front indicator light

Sorry I was late to the party.

I know it's a sister car to mine unless it is mine and I am unaware of it.

    My guess is 1121034.

Here is my car... I don't have the same wide lens to get the shot just right but this is close.

034 is the one with the LP400 slots in the roof, but no Periscopa section... right?

LP1121XXX, I totally think the picture of the woman is your car...

    Hey Doc,

The main problem was that the factory itself did not know what they were talking about. I've seen them come up to a "slam dunk" interim and dismiss it as a 350 -- not even having the slightest idea what to look for. Honestly, they are clueless. Not in a bad way, just in a clueless way ;^D

    Cheers,

    Fred

PS: "roundly poo-pooed" is a colorful way to describe it...
