    Hi Guys,

when I put my right turn clicker, it clicks really fast kind of like when a bulb is burn out. Sure enough, one of the right rear tail lights was out. I changed it, and I'm still getting the fast click.

I've verified that all lights everyone left and right (fog, brake, reverse, turn etc) are turning on properly so I don't think I have a burnt out bulb somewhere.

Other item of info that could be related is that when I changed my fog lights to the french ones daniel found for me, the french ones only had the 2 big plugs not the 3rd little plug. I plugged them in with just 2 plugs and everything seems to work fine. On the right side, the original fog would not come due to the small plug since it was lodged against the bumper and I could not get it loose, so I simply cut the wires on that side for the small plug.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Did you remember to check the lights on the sides of the bumpers? Also, be sure that the little spring on the bottom of the light bulb socket is sitting up enough to place the proper pressure on the bottom of the bulb to make good contact. (was that a run on sentence or what)

Did the fast clicking happen after you installed the front Euro fog lights? :):)

You need to solder that plug back on I think. ;):)

Rear taillight bulbs have nothing to do with the indicator flasher can. :):)

So you think the plug, even if not plug in, has something to do with it like increasing system resistance? You know, now that I think about it, the plug is still plugged in, but I cut the wires that came out of the plug going to the fog light which would be just like a bulb being off. Damn....

I just can't get to it. I think I need to take out the front wheel and the wheel liner.... it never ends... my wife told me today that officially the car is more high maintenance than she is and I have to concur :) :)

The fast clicking is generally because of a bulb problem or a ground problem, but it's hard to tell if you throw in the possibility of something to do with the new fog light assembly and the cut wires. You may have disconnected the ground wire.

The way I would ordinarily check this problem would be to have someone watch at the front and rear while I cycled through all the lights. You can't really do it properly by yourself, because the problem may not show unless you are running BOTH the tail lights and the brake lights at the same time (rear) and the park lights and turn signals at the same time (front). Watch for lights that do not function normally when more than one filament is in use. That can mean a bulb that has failed internally, or a dirty socket, or a bad ground. Try to narrow it down.

At least it isn't likely at all that the problem is in the switch or the wiring.
