This particular car used to belong to a member on this board in the Chicago area. May be he will pop in. I have seen the car once before last summer, but don't remember much of it.

They have listed the weight as 2676 should be 3183 no? I wonder if the major service was completed with the upgraded valves.

They had a 348 when I was looking for a car, and several people on the mid atlantic forum told me to avoid them but did not give me specifics as to why.

Hmm, I glad someone got a thread started on this 355. You don't see these cars in this price range unless there issues that need to be addressed.

Hmmm, so weight is an indicator if an F355 needs a service!? J/K :D

Well you never know those aftermarket wheels could weight 3500 pounds less or it lost weight after 50k

I prefer the screaming top sound of 348 and the gorgous 3 spoke steering wheel.

They have everything listed as Excellent except the grill which is listed as N/A, which is definitely odd. If it is too good to be true, it usually is.

Hmmm $49K seems really low!!! That price makes me think of two things: one the dealer doesn’t know what they have (but in this technology loaded day and age I doubt that) or two, the dealer does know what they’ve got (the dollars the car might need). I would make sure to find out when the last “documented” service was done (buy an authorized tech) and get all of the receipts possible to verify the condition and maintenance of the car. At $49k this is about 20-25k less than what I have seen them going for even with 51k miles.. The servicing would scare me away quickly if there are no records and I don't think CarFax would give you all of that... Just my 2cents...

    +1.

The aluminum pedals are usually after-market. Those look like Hill Engineering pedals or similar.

With the money saved from the deal, servicing the car would be the least of my worries. If I was considering this car, I would get a PPI performed and seriously get the chassis inspected for any significant damages. If both comes out good, then I'd pay a qualified tech to perform all the necessary maintenance on it and enjoy the fact that I got a heck of a deal on an F355!
