Ah yes....SARS-stock.....I am so pissed that I missed that concert. Looking back in time, I should've just went to the damn fest instead of listening to my better judgement.

    Was it that good?

Yes it was THAT good! Where else could one see Angus Young (ACDC lead guitar - for those living under a rock) play guitar along side the Stones? That plus so many other great bands like Rush etc. I can go on. The main feature was of course the Stones. but I (and many other reviews) can tell you that ACDC was the Star of the nite!

However, it was a long & tiring day under the sun I tell yah. Morning til nite of Rock n' Roll ;):)

    DONT forget JT!! lolol
i was working at bombardier that day, they told the entire company to take the day off, and 110 people were given passes to come in adn work that day..so i went in for about 2 hours and then went to see the concert...you shoulda seen the park the next day...talk about major clean up...as well one of the security gaurds told me someone threw a bottle of urine at JT lol..

i remember people parking from sheppard/keele to keele/wilson to all the way to bathurst and wilson...then just walking back...i'd imagine there'd be traffic like that if the grand prix moved over there...plus they just put up 2 condos (converted one from hotel to condo, and built the other one) so that area is already busy at it is...

If I remember correctly....it was free. Man, you really suck for not going :D

Yes JT was funny. But what he said made up for it. At a press confrence after the concert he said that he too would have thrown bottles at himself if he went to a legendary rock concert and had to watch Justin Timberlake! LOL

As for the traffic, yes it was bad. The Allan expressway was closed for people to walk there! We parked at a colleague's house near Lawrence and allan rd. then we walked on the freeway all the way there along with 1000's of people! But we had the proper fluids to keep us going ;)

    Man, what a party...

Hopefully there won't be another deadly flu epidemic. Maybe we can start spreading cooties around the GTA and plead for international sympathy. I would like to suggest the mayor invite the remaining Led Zeppelin members, GNR and CCR along with AC/DC, the Stones to headline Cootiestock. Dunno which act to invite to throw bottles at though. hehe

    Here's a list ;

    Avril Lavigne
    Britney
    Ashlee Simpson
    Amy Winehouse
    James Blunt

They could all use a few bottles to the head...(preferably glass)

I'm sure I missed a few other useless and talentless people who pretend to be 'artists'.

i remember when that was put on, it was absolute chaos in that area.... i guess thats what happens when a big concert like that is free....

anyways Edge Fest is there this year, not free, but still a great price for who is performing.

Actually for the amount of people that went everything went very well and there was no trouble. But having JT sing at a rock concert was just wrong. And he was man enough to admit it. :)

James, I agree with you. There isn't much to talk about these days. Its cold, its snowy, there's no one on the streets, there are no parties happening, there are no cars to spot. My mind is starting to wander, and this is the result. ...(ruining threads..:D)

Anyone own any Bear Stearns stock? Did anyone hear about the English investor who bought 5% of Bear Stearns stocks at $90/share last year for 850$ million ?

Well the shares are now worth $2 and the stock has been bought by the US reserve fund and JPMorgan, and his shares are worth approx $10 million now.

That made me feel a bit better about myself today! :)

OK, then. What happened to the Ice Cream Man in Kleinburg. Did he get caught cutting coke or was it the slots in the back room?

....or maybe it was the massage women that he had upstairs?

Selling ice cream in the winter is as profitable as selling snow tires in Florida.
