http://lotus-scottsdale.ebizautos.com/detail-2007-ferrari-f430-spider-2541915.html Never drove one and never even sat in one. I am on my 4th. Lambo. (08 Superleggera) Just sold my LP640 and 2 Gallardos. I have 2 (07) Bentleys and 2 (08) Aston Martins. I appreciate anything anyone wants to add about my new car or the Dealer. They both seem fine to me but love any feedback. Thanks Eric Paid $295,000 plus $1700 shipping to NJ
I looked for 2 months and lost out on several "same" deals by not jumping fast enough. I decided to grab this one since it had the carbon ceramic brake rotors. My Superleggera has them and they stop on a dime with no fade. The last Gallardo did not and squealed like a pig at stop lights. What's it like on long (2 or 3 hour) drives? I need Motrin after 2 hours in the Lambo. Thanks and glad to be a member.Just paid the 5 years for Rossa mambership and looking forward to joining in. Eric
I am an ammo Distributor in West Berlin NJ off exit 4 on the NJTPK. I live in Berlin and Ocean City. 25 years now. Thanks Eric
Welcome to Fchat. I am in Bergen County NJ. My inlaws are down in Washington Twp off exit 4, actually headed there this weekend. If you are ever up my way, give me a heads up and we will go for a ride. Just sold my 360 spider but already have something on its way to replace her
Thanks and will do. BTW new track soon in Millville, down this way. I am going to wait to join but am sure to have the 430 and Superleggera out there Eric http://www.na-motorsports.com/Tracks/NJ/NJMotorsportsPark.html
I am quite sure i will like it. Can anyone tell me what it's like for a 6' male 200 pounds to drive for a few hours? As i said, the Lambo is pure torture for 2 hours. It's not all the Lambos fault.I have a semi bad back. The seats on the 430 look much more comfortable and i noticed that most Ferraris had more miles on them then the Lambos so i concluded that the Ferrari is much more comfortable to drive. Thanks Eric
So, what you are saying is with a Lambo you need to add in masseuse and/or chiropractic care costs to the running expenses of long drives? hmmmmm.
Welcome to FChat. Trying to help answer your question. I have the same seats and am 5' 11" (wieght 175) so my experience may be different. I would rather drive my BMW 7 series across country, but have aeasily driven 4-5 hours and enjoyed every minute. Incidentally, you are proof the prices of (at least) Spiders are dropping. This car would have sold for $330,000 a year ago. Best
I sold it for several reasons. You cannot drive that car around town. The bottom of the nose scrapes everywhere. No way to avoid it. It's pure pain to hear a $400,000 car scrape bottom. It had every option including the carbon ceramic brakes. It became a garage queen. It was good to and from my shore home but just getting to the highway you scraped bottom 2 times. I also needed the money for a new warehouse for my business.Didn't like the closing costs for a commercial loan and just paid cash.Lost some on the LP640 but made it back on the warehouse and just went and got the 08 Superleggera. It's a much friendlier car in many ways. Take care Eric
welcome to ferrari club you will enjoy, my personal experience with longer testdrive over 2h is that the 430 spider is much more comfortable as the Lambo SL. You have also different settings with your manettino, good for your back
First, congrats on the F430!!! Stunning car! Second, welcome to Fchat! Third, most questions can easily be answered with a quick search, so if you find yourself needing a quick answer to something try the search function first. Lastly, perfect time to by the F430 here on the east coast with spring fats approaching!! I own a F360 and have never really had a major issue with long drives. Well, I have only really done the 3-4 hour drives and that was no problemo!! No back pain or leg cramping. Enjoy!!!
Robert...you are right Spring is poking her head...trees starting to blosom. Getting ready for the new Nationals Park, just saw it on CNBC and it looks stunning. Will have to make a trip and catch a game this season.
Welcome to our crazy F world. I am 6' and 240 lbs and have no problem with a two hour drive. I just find it a little hard getting in or out with the top up.
That is what I call providing pics of your F-car!! Welcome. Beautiful car. I am 6'1" 220 lbs and have no problem in mine. Love riding in it, even for 2 hours. Perfect location for the spider. Enjoy. Al
I'm 200 pounds at 5 feet 10 inches slim and I the last long trip on my F430 was over 4 hours and stopped only for a few minutes, I was fresh and ready to hit a bed marathon as soon as I got in the hotel room. The problem was I didn't have any girl around me.
