But would you like Romo if he played for any team besides Dallas ?
Definitely. He would still be my favorite QB even if he wasn't on Dallas. BTW Pacman Jones is pretty much set on coming to Dallas.
WOW - TWO losers on one team. BTW - It's OK to have a man-crush on a guy (I guess....) but until Romo can actually WIN an important game, he will be just like any other decently mediocre QB in the NFL - an average player. Not bad, not great - not gonna win anything important with him.
Mike Vick was still my favorite QB in the NFL even though he wasn't on Dallas. Being on Big D just gives me more reasons to like Tony.
As an ATHLETE, I don't have a problem with Vick, or Pacman, or anyone good enough to make it on a roster in ANY sport. The problem I have, though, is responsibility after they make the squad. These guys are being paid a ton of money - it IS an investment - look at Atlanta - and with that investment comes social responsibility. I'm sorry Charles Barkley, but athletes ARE role models, and if they don't want to be, then they should not be in any high-profile BUSINESS - and sports IS a Business. (look what happened to KC after Derrick Thomas died in a car crash). I'm FINE with giving you 5 mill a year for 5+ years, but when you get arrested outside a nightclub at 3am, or arrested for carrying a hand gun, or beat up your wife, or have a pound of cocaine - you are DONE. Period. NO 'second chances' after being found guilty. Those guys see 'second chances' on TV ALL the time - they know the score - they (should) know what can happen when they go to a nightclub at 2-3-4 am, and if they are not smart enough to know, then they are not smart enough to play professionally. Once in 250 times we see someone get the shaft that maybe should not have been - Tank Johnson in Chicago. He cleared himself up, and then got pulled over for DUI. Chicago immediately cut him. THEN the cops said he was not DUI. Chicago SHOULD have waited for the facts to come in, they didn't. Now he is in Dallas, and I hope he does GREAT.
I agree. Athletes are held up too high on a pedistile. I understand that owners want their teams to win at all costs. However, paying a convicted felon should be against the rules and law. Especially since they're paid millions. As a high paid, high profile person, whom signed a contract; they have an ethical and moral obligation to "fly right". If that's too tough for them to do, then they don't need to be paid. Period.
I'm all for second chances but for a person like Pacman or half of the Bengals, it has become a little excessive. I try to ignore the fact that Pacman has multiple arrests mainly because hes going to the Cowboys. I really like that Goodell is trying to come down tough, it is restoring the league's image.
Its time I start protesting that Ferraridude615 again until he makes a thread for me next season regarding David Garrard. .
The guy filling in for Rome yesterday made a good point. He was talking about when you're growing up and you get in trouble, your parents sternly say your entire name. So the whole time he was talking about "Pacman", he kept saying "Now Adam", "Adam". I was laughing my ass off. But he was also speaking truth. He's lost the "key" to be called Pacman. He also brought up that, I believe, it was his rookie year the QB of the Titans at the time refused to call him Pacman. He said he has to earn my repsect and prove himself before he would call him by his nickname. This supposedly pissed off Adam in a very big way. I love it. Take away all his money and give it to poor area schools that desperately need it.
I've still never seen a guy with anywhere near a 'man crush' as this guy has on Tony Romo..... it's so funny that it has to be a put-on.... I've seen guys with a 'man crush' on Michael Schumacher, but nowhere near the extent as the crush this guy has on an average (at best) QB.
Tony will have a wedding ring before a Super Bowl ring. He is turning into the Alex Rodriguez of football, except with less talent.
Let me put this straight. No Philadelphia team will ever win a championship with the current ownership in place of these teams. The Cowboys have done nothing special this offseason. They'll be the same as last year, and choke in the playoffs. Pantera are you another bandwagon fan? Do you guys were Romo T-shirts to bed?
With 13 Pro Bowlers on the team, there isn't much to do. With the addition of Pacman, we should once again be a force to be reckon with.
Was that the day he lost the $2.5 million in Vegas ? A couple of pics of Tony from the Byron Nelson Pro Am. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
