The Massa Sucks Thread *OF COURSE THERE ARE SPOILERS*

I understand fully. If Massa does win 4 GPs, then you will owe me $10,000. I am also very serious, and am now even more excited about the season. Get ready to lose 10k.

Massa only won three times in 2007. Personally I think the field is closer this year, so four wins is going to be awfully tough to achieve. I want Ferrari to win both titles, but I find myself rooting for Kimi for driver's. For Kimi to win driver's, and for Massa to win four times without taking the driver's title, that means Ferrari has to be a very dominating team this year.

 

If there ever was a thread that deserved to have a popcorn smiley...

 

Well last year Kimi won 6 races, and almost didn't win the title. We can thank Mclaren's screw up for his title. Also, Lewis won 4 races and didn't take the title. There is also one more race on this year's calendar. I think it's do or die for Massa now, and I'm banking that he'll step it up.

 

You have to have lots of balls to make a $10,000 bet. But I think this really proves how much these guys really love Ferrari. I as a true Tifoso could never bet against my team as I could not watch the season hoping that half the team loses in hopes that a certain driver would be replaced by my favourite team destroyer. I guess this proves the point I was making about some members in here only becoming so called Tifosi when Kimi came to Ferrari.

 

Holy shxt. This just got real. Haha. I hope you guys stay true to your word, though its an internet forum, far cry from a bookie's.

 

Wow! My C note bet with SENNA3xWC has been reduced to a splatted bug on a windshield. I guess I'm in the minor leagues still.

 

I have a $50 bet with Robert C. I'm realy slumin.

 

I haven't, and won't fan the flames here too much. But that was funny.

BTW: I find the 10k bet crazy, but definitely think Senna3xWDC is going to win it. No friggen way Massa is going to win 4 races this year. No way. Nada. Zilp. Zero. He'll be lucky if he bags 2. Tops.

Wow 10 large between Massaholics and Massahaters - this just got VERY interesting.

I'd have to take the rider bet on Ted's side though, I don't see Massa winning 4 races this season, unless Kimi has at least 4 DNF's.

Massa won't win 4. That's a ridiculous bet... Even for a Massaholic. A better one would be against Massa being replaced mid-season like Scott Speed after he inevitably gets another few DNF's.

 

I would say yes. They didn't say "Massa would win 4 races if he's still in the Ferrari." My assumption is that anyone that bets Massa will take 4 wins is also betting he'll be in the Ferrari for the whole season.

 

I'll say it again. I don't rate Massa, but I do rate that Ferrari of his. Ferrari also has a habit of picking it up at the season goes on.

 

I'm not quite sure what your saying here. But if Massa gets fired, I would say that all bets are off. I have been in a Formula 1 fantasy league for the last 8 years and when there is a driver change by a team, you are allowed to change your driver to put yourself on par with the other members. When you make a driver selection in this league, it would be unfair if a driver changed teams or was terminated because you would never score anymore points for that driver. You would be hopelessly out of it if you were not allowed to change your selection. If the man bets that Massa will win four races, he makes this bet based on the factors that he will be driving a Ferrari and that he will compete in all of the scheduled races. In our fantasy league, if the driver is going to miss a race for a suspension or an injury, the member is allowed to change that driver out for that race as well. Just my .02
