I realize this question is purely academic at this point, but just the same...

What would have happened if Josh were able to produce a clear title for the officers the night that his car was impounded? (I'm assuming he didn't, but maybe he did have it with him?)

At this point, you are completely beyond helping. I can't count the number of people who told you NOT to take any money from Roy and WHY you shouldn't take it. It's almost like you're trying to screw this up as badly as possible for yourself, just so you can whine on the forums. I hope you get your wish.

What did you expect!? I mean, you did bash the guy for a couple of days in two separate forums BEFORE you actually spoke to him. Put yourself in his shoes and ask yourself that question? Seriously, stop posting and work with your lawyer about shiite's that matter, its for your own good!

    Josh... seriously...

You have somehow managed to take a situation where you are 100% the victim and SHOULD be only getting sympathy and turned it around to the point where everyone is quickly losing any sympathy they had for you.

That says a lot my friend. When you can get a bunch of car lovers to become irritated with the guy who just had his Gallardo taken out from under him you must be doing SOMETHING wrong.

So at this point..you have a lawyer. Let her do her job. You will get the car or the money back. practically guaranteed.

Stop slamming Roy here...theres been enough said and everyone can make their own decisions about Roy from this point on.

Oh and what time should I set my alarm clock for ?

JOSH that is an out and out lie...YOUR OWN ATTORNEY told me SHE COULD not accept it due to conflict of intrest!! AND YOU know that. I did not know that when I made the offer, but it appears many others did and it is correct. I EVEN asked her if there was a way around that AND SHE said NO!

So quit your out and out untruths...I have had about enough of you!!

I have read the thread here and on LPower. I have also read many of Josh's posts regarding earlier issues with his car. He is an idiot and totally manipulative. Chin up Roy, I am siding with you.

AND just to add to it...SHE also SAID YOU could not take a 10K check from me as it could be viewed as clear and done settlement for this pending case. AND SHE said she would advise YOU NO do not take it and I should not do it...

**** she is not even my lawyer and I LISTEN to her...they are the experts, maybe you should try the same!!

360spider took one too many blows to the head I guess. Either that or he needs to be introduced to Q-tips so he could actually hear the lawyer's advice!

Same here, no need to defend yourself Roy because most of the people that are reading this are siding with you.

If you would have 'worked this out' with Josh without lawyers (SOME civilized people can still do this in matters such as these), this issue would have been going in a completely different direction - Josh would be ranting and raving about how you helped him with either a refund or another car vs. telling him to go hire a lawyer. With your insurance, you would have been out zero-money in the process, but as of now Josh STILL HAS NO CAR - you remember, the one he paid you for? The ability for you to salvage a good relationship with your own customer is long-gone, and you've also lost the ability to bolster your business stature by making lemonade from lemons here. That's sad.
