Senna3xWDC will get banned if he violates TOS just as anybody else here (if you look at his profile you see some of the yellow and red cards I already handed him). He manages to not throw personal insults at people and therefore evades a ban. Apart from that much of what he says I simply have to agree with. IMHO he understands F1 a lot better than many folks on here. The post about Massa's xxx was made by Senna1994 and obviously quickly deleted. I never saw it other than referred to by phylotic. Had I seen it, it would have earned Senna1994 a ban. BTW: You'll be pleased to hear that you can continue to use your Alonso related slur on here. The mods don't find it offensive enough to be banned (hence continuing my own ruling with it). Also any slur made with Felipe Messup's name is perfectly ok. PS: I find the whole discussion over whether somebody is a true tifoso or not childish. I know in my heart I love Ferrari and nothing else. That doesn't make me less of a fan if I dislike one of their drivers. And I really don't need any kind of validation about my love for Ferrari, neither from you nor from Senna3xWDC.
No problem Tony. If I misread the sender of the post then I too must apologize to Senna3xWC(Ted). The guys in here for the most part are all good. The thing about the internet is the inablility to catch the tone of the comments. I know we have emmoticons(sp) but they are not always used. I think what we all have to realize is when to back off, including me. We tend to push a point too far at times. Maybe someone can come up with some sort of sollution or rule on how many time we should rebuttle a point before it become moot....I dont know. Ciao for now.........Franco Just caught Andreas' post. I will drop the Alons---- name.
Thanks appreciated. It will increase the value of your posts. Gee whiz, I hate all this adult behavior all of a sudden...
Obviously I didn't mean THIS thread, but every single other one where the name "Massa" can't be mentioned without completely losing the topic
Group hug Seriously, I just wanted to say that I've always appreciated you guys and your posts...well, most of them Even though I might not agree with everything that you guys state or agree with the personal attacks, it's posts like these that show, "at the end of the day", you each have a deep passion for racing, F1 and for Ferrari and evidently do respect that about each other. That's pretty cool in my book.
I get your point. I guess the title of this thread just struck a nerve in me. I don't care when people say X team sucks or whatever, but I have a problem when somone makes a thread specifically to bash someone who has achieved something most people only dream about. However, I'm not trying to make excuses for Massa. I would much rather have Alonso, Rosberg, or Vettel in the 2nd Ferrari. Massa can't drive without TC. He's proven that twice, there's no point in putting him back in the car. He might be able to drive flawlessly for the next five races, and even win a couple of them, but there's always that chance that he could make a mistake again. Take last year's Brazilian GP for example. If Massa had spun out and had Alonso gotten past him, Alonso would've been WDC. If once again the WDC comes down to a race like that, I certainly would not want Massa in that car, without TC.
Are you kidding? Massa can drive circles around himself. (When in "Bashland", ... ) Actually, I'm not all that sure most of us could even get an F1 car out of pit lane -- with or without a red light at the exit. (Getting those things going from a standstill is tricky.) Hal and Lulu! (hallelujah)
true. there's this episode in Top Gear where Richard Hammond tries the Renault and fails to get it moving ..
Franco, 355 you never attacked me and I did it to you, I am sorry. Lets go forward for the best. FORZA FERRARI.
I'm no racing prodigy, but I got both F1 cars out of the pits without stalling. If you're focused and willing to burn somebody else's clutch it is not that hard. Psst: The real trick is to start in 2nd gear and rev really high... +1 As said earlier I don't get the "you're not a real tifosi" duel between 355 and Senna3xWC. They both care about the team and (at least) one of its drivers a big deal. That to me is all there is. At club events I meet a lot of Ferrari people and you'd be surprised how few of them actually give a damn about F1 and the team. While it is very nice (and something to be proud of) to own a 355, it is not an indicator you are actually a fan of the team nor even the brand. I have met many rich folks who own a Ferrari because it is chic or whatever. Being a F1 fan and (ideally) a fan of the Scuderia to me is what matters. I have a lot more in common or shall we say to discuss with the Massa supporters than with most Ferrari owners. That's a somewhat sad fact.
I have just secured the domain www.racefanangermanagement.com I should have the site running by Bahrain. Dr. Melfi is going to be on hand after each race. I'm looking for sponsors. Anyone?
