    Hi Barry,

Nice seeing you too and talking with you at the lunch table. Actually it was my wife sandy, who I see in one of your photos, posted the pictures but it was a fun event. A few months ago, I did a PPI at Algar on a well maintained and nearly perfect black Maranello ,like your's, for an old customer. It was obvious the car had seen very little rain and certainly no salt. All the chassis bolts still looked new. It drove like silk too, with gobs of great torque. A car to die for! The customer decided, over the phone, to buy the car, I loaded it into the trailer and took it back to Jersey the same day. A few weeks later the car was back at my place after it had apparently been winched out of a deep ditch a couple of nights before. It looked repairable (after washing all the mud off) but we determined it was going to need about $60,000.00 in parts to fix it. The insurance company totaled it and tried to get me to buy it from them. Man, I was tempted. I would have just repaired a lot of parts that are normally replaced in the routine and kept the car for myself. I love 550s! A cooler head, my wife's, prevailed. She was right. I need another project like I need a hole in my head but it really hurt when the wrecker took MY Maranello away!

Hi Chris, I wish you'd been there too! That picture you took of the red 328 (?) reflected in Bruce Wellington's blue 550 is still one of my favorite desktop photos. Passing on to you the many compliments we've heard for that shot.

It was a very enjoyable ride - cut short for me by our kids locking themselves and the baby sitter out of our house. No lunch for me!

Having grown up in Northern New Jersey a big treat on Sunday afternoon was going for a drive with my parents to "High Point". Taking in the country roads, dairy farms and views of the country. Your pictures bring back many memories. Living in the SF Bay Area also offers many nice views and if any of you get out this way I would enjoy pointing out the many "High Points" to visit.

    Hi Paul,

I'm happy Wil and I brought back some fond memories for you. As you can see, Saturday was a beautiful early spring day here in northern New Jersey. We all had a great time. Now, the next time I drive those roads I'll spend a bit more time looking at those sights you remember!

    Hi Wil,

I understand just how you felt when you saw YOUR Maranello being towed away. I'm sad that the 550 couldn't benefit from your skills. That's one less Maranello around for someone to enjoy.

Saturday was the first chance I had to drive my 550 spiritedly. At breakfast, I had similar thoughts of muddy ditches race through my mind. But those thoughts soon vanished as we started our drive and I came to see just how well the Maranello performs. Yes, the ASR ACTIVE light flickered a few times and I saw how well thought-out this machine is. I'm pleased with the progress I made on the Maranello learning curve.

And to squash all the fond memories & future runs,
Corzine is looking at closing High Point and other state parks by July. He's also considering loosing 80+ park employees & closing parks for a couple days a week during off-season times.

Think he'd cut the popo force? noooooo.
