To fight or not to fight????

  1. Fighting at every opportunity is great entertainment!!!

  2. It is great the way its been lately, lets keep it this way!!!

Ok this section has been far too quite lately... ....... at any given time when I come on here, there is nothing but accord and harmony amongst us..... :( ......... there is a solid sense of community and rapport that is....... well ........ too good ......!!!

What ever happened to the 'good ol' days when there was dissension, defamation and conflict between 348 and 355 owners ??? When gtb/tb and spider owners used to trade insults and cheapshots at every given opportunity??? Am I wrong by missing the random bickering, controversy and altercations :(???

Am I just bored???? Should I just go drive my 355 and be happy with the wonderful weather, chirping birds and driving through tunnels :)????

So I lay this question before you............

Should there be more squabling in this section like the 'old days' or should we embrace this new sense of community and continue to foster good times, fraternity and honor :)????

    Oz,

Are you drinking red-------------as am I? OK, addressing your question about the old days - a bit of both is fun - we'll find what we need to find anyway. Buttheads are always good for a giggle and they do make the "next page" fun.

As far as the "348 -355" split, I'm seeing a "hand holding" kind of emotion spreading over the community - - but then, I love the concept of "love".

    Cheers, Hank

I'm selling my 348 and buying a 355 as soon as possible.

To be honest, lately I have'nt been enjoying the 348 as much as I used to. I much prefer the more curvy lines of the 355. My Doctor thinks this change of view is because of the female hormone tablets that I have recently been taking because of my forth coming sex change. I think the 355 will suit me more especilaly in that pinky red colour.

The 355 is superior for anyone involved in the fashion industry or trans-gender operational derivatives.
    It has many special features:
Power steering so that your new breast implant pocket does not get stressed from driving a normal sports car.
Electric seats so you are less likely to chip a nail on the way to the pride festival.
A larger trunk space so that your entire wardrobe for the La Cage Aux Folles review does not get rumpled.

If you want some squabbling just get ND to bring up welding headers again. Or maybe a valve guide topic...........

355: I'm glad they made a softer, gentler version of the 348 for women to be able to drive a Ferrari.

Another big upside of the 355 is the ability to spend larger sums on repairs. That way you can brag about how much the car costs while you are at Starbucks on Saturday at 11AM...

Double disc clutch on 348 cost more than F355, and they are not safe from the valve issues either, speeds over 130mph kinda scary.

I have to admit you guys are right...hey is there a way to put a 348 body kit on a 355? And to give her a more 'classic' manly experience I'm going to tear out those paddles and electrohydraulics and swap in a 5 spd from a dump truck I found on Ebay. :D

Perhaps, Mmmm. But, you know, this is the one. Yes, yes yes... Every pompous ass has their 355 parked outside Starbucks!

There's too many self-Indulgent wieners in this city with too much bloody money!

    Now, if I was driving a 348... I'd be a connoisseur.

Common now 348 is not a Testarrosa, 355 looks a million times more aesthetically appealing than a 348. lol

I think the 360 guys might be genuinely upset if I said they park outside Starbucks on Saturdays at 11 AM...
    This is more fun!

    Summary of improvements.

    http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z11189/default.aspx

The F355 was a 348 with design modifications and engine enhancements that included five valves per cylinder. With an improved DOHC engine the F355 produced 80 more horsepower than its predecessor. The 380 horsepower engine drove the nearly 3000 pound vehicle from zero-to-sixty in just 4.6 seconds. Top speed was accomplished at just over 180 mph. In 1988, the vehicle became similar to F1 styled vehicles with the introduction of paddle shifters located on the steering wheel that allowed the driver to easily shift from gear to gear. Performance was further upgraded from its 348 counterpart with an improved suspension and chassis. The suspension was adjustable by the driver to accommodate all types of driving conditions. Ventilated Brembo disc brakes provided excellent stopping power. The body was created from steel and aluminum which added rigidity while remaining light-weight.

    355 improvements over 348

    1. 5 Valves per cylinder 3.5 48 valve DOHC versus 3.4 OH 32 valve
    2. 380Hp versus 300
    3. 0-60 4.5 top 183mph versus 5.5, 165mph
    3. Over8k Redline versus 7200
    4. Titanium rods
    5. Modern Interior
    6. Tighter suspension
    7. Lighter 3000lbs versus 3170lbs
    8. 6speed gearbox versus 5 speed
    9. Aerodymanic stability in speeds excess 130mph

I can't speak for the good old days, I haven’t been around here long enough, but I can say that we all seem to get along well, so as long as there is balance, let’s bring the bickering.

    ;)
