Do you get pleasure from mocking someone who already is in over his head?

You accuse Josh of immaturity but a lot of you aren't that much ahead...

Why would you want to find his myspace, if he has one? So what if he was in over his head when he went to buy it? We all aspire to something or the other. How does that change anything?

How about you, got a myspace page? Should I google for Taylor Good in Orange County?

I dont think Taylor was making a personal attack on him. He was kidding around, let it go.

Josh, here is one to take to your lawyer: if you never registered the car, then who do you think REALLY told the detective where you lived and how to find the car. I hope you can connect those dots without any problem.

If the car had been registered in his name they would not have been able to get it....but the title was in the original owners name with the dealer assignments attached to it...therefore they were able to get the writ. Registering the car would have avoided this problem and made the leasing company take civil action against the original owner.

Even if it was not an attack, it was an extemely cheap shot. Do you guys go around looking in your neighbors' garbage cans too? The registration of the vehicle is between Josh and the state. His credit card bills and family finances are his business. Whether he likes to eat grubs or goes to bed in a wetsuit, none of that is ANYBODY ELSE's business and in no way does it make him less deserving of full redress. He paid for a car. He should have it. Simple as that. It's sad that it had to take 40 pages on this thread before Roy saw the light, but at least he finally did (although the mileage charge is ridiculous). It restored my faith in Roy. There are still plenty on here, though, who make me wonder what this world has come to. Serious peanut gallery syndrome!

It seems to me the purpose of the writ was to reclaim the car and that it would have happened whether or not he registered.

Didn't Josh get the title anyway?

360s Still here ...and still stirring the siht!

I think you like all the attention your getting and possibly even that the car got taken away considering it sounds like you had no business with it...charged on a credit cards? The thought of you getting your money back and getting to drive the siht out of a Lambo for 3 months and 7000 miles for free sorta sounds good when you think about it....THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMM.

Why so long to get the car registered???

How about running the tags on the car, or maybe running the VIN after he was pulled over. Do we know what happened?

Scubyfan, mocking? I forgot, Web 2.0 Is a scary place. And if you consider putting a name to a face Stalking, then sure... I'm publicly guilty on behalf of a few of us here. But otherwise...

js430, read above. (Seattle native myself, IHS, nice to meet you)

Stupid comment on my behalf, and irrelevant to anything of matter. Josh I do feel bad for this situation that has been filled in around you. But an attack? Not quite, I haven't lost sight of you being a Cage fighter. Keywords: Cage, Fighter. There's deeper issues here unfortunately, and I'm staying on the surface. I'd retract my last, but it's been quoted.

No, the way States view ownership changes based on whether you've registered the car with them.

You can avoid registering a car (lots of problems with so doing, legal, civil, and otherwise) and still have a title because the physical paper title has a line for the new owner's name in case of a private sale, but...just having that title doesn't give you the full ownership protection that you get from having a state issue you your own title due to registering your car with them.

Anyway, keep things simple in life to minimize stress and risk:
    1. don't game the system
    2. pay the $15 to $50 for the autocheck title insurance
    3. pay your sales taxes and register your car immediately

    or

    4. lease/rent/borrow a vehicle, instead.

from what I read he got the title, in the original owners names, with the dealer assignments on the back or attached.....and never registered it in his name.....so when the leasing company found out the original owner didnt file or have his lien filed and the leasing company did a title search and found the car registered in his name (original owner), they ask for and received a writ.....if 360 had properly registered the car the title search from the leasing company would have NOT came back in the original owners name and it would have to have been a straight civil matter.....This is a 100% civil matter and the stolen car report was done, imo, improperly. This wasnt a break the window or carjack someone...take to a chopshop and paint stolen car. No difference than charging a Lambo on a credit card and filing bankruptcy....the credit card company cant come take the car.....It was the leasing companys fault for not making 100% sure the lien was filed and they are working or trying to work the system to their advantage....since the title was still in the ORIGINAL owners name.

I just want to share with everyone my absolute love for the car.

I have been dreaming about having an exotic car (ferrari, or lambo) for many years.

Everyday i would watch videos about ferraris and lambos, and dream to 1 day have the opportunity to make my dream a reality.

I talked to kevin from cats exotics, 2 years ago, about owning a Gallardo , but decided to buy a home instead.

2 years later, there has never been a single day or SINGLE night where i have let my thought about my dream

3 months ago, friday night, i booked a 1-way plane ticket to Las Vegas and my dream became a reality.

I arrived around 11pm in the 15 story airport parking garage, as i could hear my dream making its way up to me.

The emotions ran high , and it was the 1 of the best days of my life.

Josh, you got a lovely car and you probably worked hard to earn it. But can you answer a few questions for us?

    1) How come you picked the car up in Vegas? Did Roy ship it to you there?
    2) Why didn't you register the car in the 3 months that you had it?

I'm not making accusations or allegations just trying to better understand the situation.
