The following is required to register a nonresident vehicle: Last issued out-of-state title, unless held by the lienholder/legal owner (This applies only if there is not a change of registered owner.) So Roy, if everything checked out on your end at the time of sale, why did it take 2 months to send the title to Josh? It seems that according to California law vis-a-vis a non-California car - as far as previous registration is concerned - he couldn't register the car without the title, which Josh claims he received on the 2nd of February.
If the car was paid in full on Dec 27..and with the new year....Roy prob didnt have title in hand yet from Viva Vegas until Mid Jan...so getting the title to customer Feb 2 is actually about right.....but still a good question!
Who do YOU think REALLY told the detective where Josh lived and how to find the car??? Could have been just a simple search on the boards.....
