Can't really tell from the grainy pic, but it looks like it's been there a while.

I wonder if it's one of the fire pics from years back?

No its not. There have been several burnt F40's.

It is a real F40, not a kit.

Surely at least that front wheel is salvagable if not more.
It would not be left sitting on that pile......would it??

I almost cant believe this would be a real one. Even in this state, it looks like quiet some parts are still oke. The wheels alone cost some serious money.

Looks like it is on some kind of a ledge that each car is sitting on.

The "expensive" parts look pretty well "heat treated". Not much to save here.

Yeh, I'll bet even the parts that look undamaged are damaged to some extent. My experience with breakers is they dont take care of the cars. Use forklifts to lift them etc. one of my old cars I crashed I later bought back therefore had to collect it from the breakers. It was definitelt more damaged after the breakers than before, Massive deep scuffs on undamaged arches etc.

With this F40, there are some parts people will buy though, no doubt about that, even if its just for souvenirs! I bought a mint XJ220 rear wheel to use as a brolley stand for instance.

The VIN and Title is worth the money. Since there is still no law against the dealing with the paperwork, this "business" will go on and on and on and on ...

How it works: Get f.e. a stolen F40 and the paperwork of this car, replace the VIN and you get a "legal" car. In eastern europe its pretty common to do this and there are lots of customers who don't care if the price is right. The paperwork is needed to get a registration and in case for a export.
