On a day when UK motorsport lost 2 highly successful, respected drivers its sad to think that these allegations were "served up" by News International.

If these allegations are in anyway remotely true - who's the half wit now? Messrs Stewart, Brundle and Dennis - time for a wry smile.

Max is very litigious, and has plenty of money to burn.

It's a lot harder to sue a newspaper (or several hundred) outside the UK vs. sueing the local ones.

I bet they are just waiting for confirmation before they tear him up!

Rupert Murdoch owns the company that released this tape. I believe he also owns the paper that Mosley is sueing?

Rupert Murdoch is a very powerful media mogul - not a man to trifle with most especially when you have large numbers of giant snuffalophagus-sized skeletons in your closet.

It's likely Mosley was being watched, waiting for a slip-up. They hit the absolute motherlode of slip-ups.

The fact that it was taped means it was obviously known he was coming by. Which means he was a repeat customer. Methinks either one of the girls tipped off the papers and agreed to taping in return for a giant wad of cash, OR there was a PI following Mosley and they approached one/all of the girls in exchange for cold hard cash.

Getting him with the Nazi thing makes it sound like a complete set up. I'd have to guess he pissed off someone of "the faith."

Could I ask again - exactly how credible is this information?

No offense to anyone, but we have been up the creek and back with no "paddle" (sometimes I just kill myself, you know) on the retirement of Ron Dennis, the upcoming marriage of Lewis Hamilton, and even the spectre of massive extortion on the part of Jean Todt.

This might be a good thing even if it is never proven, and Max retains his post. Consider all the hilarious double-entendre that could be made during discussions of such subjects as "driver discipline", etc...perhaps the really creative among us could even think up some way to deride the "crate engines" and "energy recovery devices".

What he does in private is his business. I am sorry, I can not read minds, failed that in college, so I have no clue as to what really happened. His personal thoughts have no bearing on his career. That is such an American BS attitude. Certainly, if he has connections to a past failed murderous regime, this makes his a negative person, but we really do not know the truth. So if he violated no serious law, this should have no bearing on his career.

I don't buy newspaper's as a rule , however I did buy this one, a rag I admit, because I wanted to see the picture's and I know a bit about PS, the pic's are grainy but I have no doubt they are of Max, Further, I know full well who own's the paper and he is one shrewd bloke, and I don't think for 1 minute he would have run the story, had it been otherwise, I maybe wrong though.

IMO, Max's trouser snake led him into a well used trap, but his balls are so big he couldn't see it because there in his eye's :)

Sorry, but I've got to disagree on that - As has been said, a hooker or two (5 in this case it seems) is one thing. But the nazi thing is something else entirely. Feelings run very, very deep in Europe - You can't even hold "nazi memorabilia" in Germany for example - I'm sure MB and BMW (at the very least) will be *demanding* that he go - Those guys *will* lose sales if he manages to stay on.

    As always, just my 02c,
    Cheers,
    Ian

I completely agree! Problem is, it isn't exactly private anymore. I will continue to enjoy Formula 1 whether Max stays or goes, but Formula 1 isn't asking me to sign a check for millions of Euros to sponsor it thus aligning my company and its products with the public face of F1, which just did an extraordinary about-face.

+1000 you really have to understand this from a European perspective. WWII was yesterday, for a man in his position it is undescribable.

    ROFLMAO :D

You can't make stuff like this up. I knew Mosley was a major league scumbag but this is beyond the pale! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I would hope he had enough dignity to simply resign and go away but that power-hungry Nazi sympathizer will probably fight any attempt to remove him from power. I think he is a pure sociopath.

Any decent person would resign in disgrace and disappear...but then again a decent person wouldn't put themselves in this position to begin with.

Let me ask this - if he WERE to go, who would be on the likely short list for a successor?

And particularly, what would the new politik be on standardized engines, rev limits, starter motors, and energy recovery?

BTW - this reminds me of the British spy head who got caught with Russian la femme fatales in the 1950s - the press of the day said that while it may have been "his private business", how in the world can you keep a spy czar around who is not even capable of keeping his own affairs secret?

It certainly speaks to his power over the sport that Max has not yet been the subject of widespread ridicule in press and commentary. In other sports, jokers would show up at events waving whips and handcuffs and holding "Spank Me Next Max" banners.

Well, we haven't had any events since the story broke. However, I suspect that there won't be too many banners in Bahrain - Unless the guy above who's going "smuggles" one in - Maybe we should have a competition for the "best slogan from F-chat"......

    Cheers,

Well it depend's on your perspection on what you consider private..

If you feel private in a Flat, in Chelsea, with 5 hooker's dressed in Nazi outfit's with god's know's who else making cup's of tea with your arse stuck up in the air, well ok.

I couldn't give a rat's ass what he does in his spare time to be honest, but as a man in his position head of the FIA like it or not making enemy's and such, wouldn't you think he had the sense not to put himself in such a preDICKament.

The only reason he is still there is because of Bernie it's his show.. and Max is this year's star attraction. ..:)
