His S&M Max Mosley should resign The president of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile is as entitled as anyone to his fantasies. Strictly speaking he is also entitled to act them out, provided he does so with consenting adults and within the law. As a barrister he might go farther, arguing that it makes no difference if those fantasies happen to involve orders barked in breathless German and a cast of prostitutes playing roles based on those of concentration camp guards and inmates. But it is too late for that. The macabre performance apparently put on by Max Mosley and five call girls in the surreal world of a specially equipped Chelsea basement has, for good or ill, been dragged into the real world. The question of whether he can expect to continue in his role as one of the most powerful figures in motor sport has become a moral, not a legal, one. He has caused mortal offence to those for whom such Nazi-themed antics are not just baffling and deviant but a grievous insult to the memory of Nazism's victims. He has stunned associates in the world of Formula One who, until now, had no reason to consider his attacks on racism within the sport anything but sincere. More broadly, his private predilections raise legitimate questions about his public persona. Mr Mosley might claim it should not be held against him that his father was Britain's most notorious Fascist, or that these scenes became public against his wishes - but only if he were mounting a defence of extreme naivety, and he is not naive. His actions have demeaned him irreparably. They also threaten to tarnish a sport that he claims to love and whose good name he is entrusted to protect. He should resign.

Taken things too far I believe. I believe MS did more harm to the sport when he parked his car in Monaco qualifying, and the Ferrari team did way more harm when they refused over and over to allow Barrichello to race MS. The western world values strongly free speech, and thus he has a right to dress up as who he pleases. He broke no laws, and importantly no children were involved. I hate Max, he is an idiot but this will not bring him down and neither should it. Instead we should be after the person who broke his right to privacy, and who childishly set him up. This is far more important. Pete
Not in England, I believe (reference: http://www.sexwork.com/coalition/englandwales.html). Also in Nevada in USA ... etc. Pete
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/formula_1/article3656212.ece He's managed to get the video taken down and is plannig to sue for invasion of privacy Do both of these aspects together constitute an admission of accuracy for the story ?
Ah. Understood. Honestly though, it wouldn't be as big of a deal as it is if his F*CKING PARENTS WEREN'T NAZIS. He's done so much outwardly distancing himself from his parents and who they were, yet he has his hooks dress up and act like Nazis. Um. I'm going to just go with "The fact that you have these feelings and have been so vocally against your Nazi family ties in the past, lead me to question your integrity in the public eye compared to your true feelings." THAT is the issue, not the hooks. Who cares about that if its "legal". I mean family values are SOOO 2007. 2008 is all about self indulgence and risque private life.
You have got to be joking. You think Michael Schumacher did more harm to F1 by parking a car illegally then the president of the FIA having an orgy with prostitutes dressed as nazis. Do you realise that the atrocities the nazis performed affect people more than a racing driver parking his car illegally. I agree with you about the rest of your post but the first paragraph surely has to be a joke.
He has cancelled the trip to Bahrain, evn in Ecclestone's words he is now officially a liability as B.E: says the Ryal family of Bahrain would not be happey about "Mosniac" attending. F1 live has this posted which shows the heat is truly on: http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/080401093834.shtml I would think moves are afoot behind the scenes to corner him into resigning promptly.
The thing I find most striking is that on the various forums discussing this, there are always a few trying to make out that this is either: fake; no big deal if it's real; nobody's business anyway; and my favorite: I just hope there is a banner at Silverstone with the phrase
Wow, I can't believe I saw Mosley naked and bent over, being slapped by women dressed as Nazis..... I'm sure Ron Dennis and Jackie Stewart are gonna be dining out on this one for a little bit.
Now it is stated he says he won't quit so as some here rigtly predicted he will have to be dragged out the door kicking and screaming...where is my popcorn
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/formula_1/article3656212.ece Reading between the line's, I think Bernie is telling him to give it up. Andrea's you may be wrong with your prediction on this one..
OMFG that's hilarious. I can't edit pics to save my life, but since chains were involved, someone needs to take the opportunity to use the images from an old thread about a kid who tried to pull his ricer out of a ditch. http://www.houston-imports.com/forum...d.php?t=379539
Who knows whether it was "cause and effect" or "effect and cause"? I mean - isn't it possible that Todt was going out anyway and that the rumor started after that became obvious? Mosley, I agree, may be a different kettle of stinky fish. He is not running either a business per se, nor a formula one team. He is part of a weird "good old boys club" and we do not know the secret handshake nor the rituals. Well, maybe we now know about ONE of the rituals...
I bet Max wishes it was ,it's his worst nightmare ... why would anyone want it to be a joke though... it's about time he got bit in the ass .
