We're 30 somethings, well off and love to have fun. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time.

The Louvre Museum is a definite must see whether you are interested in art or not...and not just for the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo etc. etc...but more for the grandeur of the display halls and the sheer beauty of the collections. If you have the time, I would suggest at least a full day in there...of course if you are the least bit interested in art history... you may not want to leave.:)

Definitely the Louvre (check out 'Mona Lisa,' and see what you think), Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter and Montmartre (you can bump shoulders in the many cafes with students from the university).

Also, take the train to Versailles for a day trip. The palace and environs are magnificent, and you'll be able to see one of the reasons why the French Revolution came about!

"Let them eat cake"; in those days it meant bread. Thus, the wealthy got the "The Upper Crust' of the loaf of bread (considered the best) while the poorer got the rest.

As far as restaurants and clubs, stay away from where the tours go. Hit the places where the locals go!

Budda Bar is a pretty well know lounge/restaurant. You can try the Jules Vernes resturant by Alain Ducasse on the Eifel Tower although very hard to get reservations, book early.

Go see the Crazy Horse cabaret show.

my favorite museam was the Musee d'Orsay (Monet, Van Gogh, etc.)

lots of little bars near Bastille that were somewhat off the beaten path and not as toursity or "cliche" as the Buddha Bar.

    enjoy!

I did the same thing and booked the trip mid june and my girl was the one suggesting that we check out a cabaret show! I plan to take in as many galleries as possible and check out some of the cafes and restaurants that some of the famous artist greats frequented. My better half just intends to shop; my artist to her consumer! LOL
