    No it was the loss of luggage space (as seen in the SVJs) that nixed that idea.

    Of course if you drive an SVJ, the luggage goes in the Range Rover.

    Pah! this picture of the shah/cage SVJ trunk (borrowed from lamborghiniregistry) shows it to be positively commodious :)

    At least in comparison to the 288GTO's trunk. You better plan simply a toothbrush and a change of underpants if travelling that car.

    I had a Ferrari 512bbi and luggage space was a constant problem as it is with most other mid-engine cars from them.It always impressed me with my Miura and later with the LP 400 - space enough for anything you need in Southern France!

    I have enough room in my Dino 246 trunk... The problem is that after a long trip, all the luggage (and the clothes) have a bad oil smell. Is it the same in a Miura?

    Large zip lock bags work well to keep this perfume mostly off your clothes if you desire to go sans perfume. I've had good success with this method (1000 miles round trip among others). On the other hand, it's fun to watch people wonder what the smell is and where it is coming from.

    Yes. You can also use those smaller bags that they sell at the travel stores (you put your clothes in and roll the air out of the one way valve). This has worked very well for my wife and I. Tell your wife to bring her makeup (cosmetics) inside the cabin. The stuff will melt/separate in the trunk (as me how I know).

    LOL. If I can ever prise her away from the comfort of her Range Rover for a long trip, I shall try that line on her and see how it goes over! If it is 72 degrees outside, my Miura's AC will hold a steady 71 degrees inside at full chat! Forza Borletti!

    My wife (fortunately) is willing to put up with my silliness and even pretends to enjoy it sometimes. And by the way my cabin is 85 when the ouside temperature is 72 degrees. Rolling down the window lowers it to 84, so the temperature differential is not as bad as the Borletti approach I guess. Forza Natural Air!
