Thank god for this new Vette section, now I can come out from lurking and share my love for vettes. I haven't pulled the trigger on my search for a 1983 C4. Thems are rarer to find than a 250 GTO. So I'm thinking of building a replivette. I plan to use the chassis from the beater Ferrari 456 4 door wagon that I bought at the Sultan of Brunei's yard sale some time ago. That bastard sure does play hardball when it comes to hagglin prices! So, the big question is, will the Vette community respond favourably to my "Vette" when I join them for the annual meet at Bowling Green and Vettes at Carlisle? I am passionate about the marque and only build a "kitvette" as homage to Zora Arkus Duntov, Bill Mitchell, Dick Gulstrand, Larry Shinoda, and Mark Hamlin (Corvette Summer fame) I plan to christen it 'Little Red Corvette' as sung by the artist formerly known as Prince.
