    Who cares about timing belts? I make sure to replace the decals on my pace car every other year, especially since I have to park it outside year round.

    Never had any timing blets in any of my Corvettes but there is nothing like beating a dead horse even if the car doesnt have them

    I say every 40,000 miles

    If you mean that there Envinrude Outbourd Motor Four Valve ZR-1, it had chains. Eat your hearts out, Ferrari belt boys.

    Depends on how many smokey burnouts you do with your vette. If more than 10 a week i'd say change them every year.

    Chevy reccomends every 3 years based on the 3 burnouts a week average corvette owners admitted to on a recent survey.

    1953-2008 all chain..no worries, and even if you did have to change it it would only cost 1000 bucks on a newer one, or 500 bucks on an old one, and that includes a water pump, and oil change.

    ZR-1 (90-95) would cost much more of course, if you could find the parts.

    Oh yes the same old crap about the LT5 and its hard to find parts for it, Even when GM still had them on the shelf it was hard to find parts for them total BS

    I have never had ANY poroblem finding parts for my 90 ZR-1s I have had 4 of them.

    If you can google you can find just about any part you want, but your best bet is through other owners.

    But Im really not sure why you would need to change the timing chains on a LT5 and I have only heard of about 2 engine failiures on LT5s and none of them required timing chain replacment, Oh and I have torn down 2 LT5s to replace gaskets and such and it is a very easy job to time a LT5.


    Need chains Ill find you some.




    I know of 2 webistes that will have just about any LT5 part you could need or want, I also have 2 complete engines in my garage one from a car I just parted out engine and tranny.
