Short story in Autoweek just out today. It's includes the Nazi hooker orgy stuff.
This guy really is a boffin, he should quietly go away instead of highlighting what a "Lowlife" he is as if it is ok what he does in his personal life, should not affect his position as the President of a Worldwide Body.
There is a major difference between a public persona and regular joes like you and me. That's not just my opinion, also the law distinguishes and that's why paparazzi are allowed to hound Britney Spears but not us (not that they would try anyway). The army calls this "conduct unbecoming of an Officer" or something like that. I think that is a very good definition and something Max should have asked himself before entering that Chelsea apartment.
Rubython strikes again! I was just waiting for him to nail that coffin shut. Sports Pro is his new magazine after BusinessF1 defaulted. Thanks for the link.
One of the skeletons is the death of Ratzenberger: BusinessF1 posted the story of how Mosley was instrumental in getting that car passed through the FIA crash test when in reality it failed it.
Talking of which in the link above: BMWs Mario Theissen, flatly refused to go along with it. But with the help of Richard Woods, Mosley threatened BMW that he would interfere with the crash test ratings of its new BMW 5-series model. The NCap crash test programme was run by an FIA affiliate. The BMW 5-series had had an unfortunate test and not gained the required four stars due to a technicality. The car was due to be re-tested. Mosley told Theissen that unless he backed his engine proposals the BMW would only get three stars. That would have cost the German car company billions of dollars in lost sales. Theissen was forced to go along with it .
Yup and I posted a note to that extent. They continued with the magazine for a while, but it stopped this year.
Some people will excuse or ignore any behavior that does not have a direct effect on them. ....."Private matter." "Doesn't affect me." "Move on." Jack.
Apparently corporate sponsors care a great deal, as they should. I hope Max gets burned to the ground. He deserves every bit of it. Jack.
Excellent article Tony, thank you very much for posting it. Andreas now I wish I had subscriped to TR's Business of F1. Boy that Bernie is a serious crook.
When under attack, claim the 'moral high ground.' Good strategy. " Mosley calls FIA meeting over press allegations FIA President Max Mosley has requested a meeting of the FIA Senate to discuss the publicity surrounding what is described by Formula One racings ruling body as "an apparently illegal invasion" of Mosleys privacy. ------------------------------------------------ It comes after allegations relating to Mosleys private life were published in a British newspaper last weekend and follows calls on Thursday from the likes of BMW, Mercedes, Toyota and Honda for the FIA to consider the matter. The meeting is expected to be held in Paris as soon as practicably possible and all FIA members are invited. In the meantime, Mosley is planning legal action against the newspaper in question. The full statement from the FIA: The President of the FIA has requested the President of the FIA Senate to call an Extraordinary General Assembly in accordance with the provisions of the FIA statutes. The full membership of the FIA will be invited to attend the meeting at which the widespread publicity following an apparently illegal invasion of the FIA Presidents privacy will be discussed. The FIA has noted that Mr Mosley is preparing legal proceedings against the newspaper in question. It is anticipated that the meeting will take place in Paris. It will be held on the earliest practicable date. No further comment will be made by the FIA regarding the matter at this stage. "
Not even OJ could get out of this one. They have video evidence of him doing the act. Mosley is a goner, unfortunately he is so sick in the mind it doesn't affect him at all.
I think you're right, this is a personality disorder on display for the world to see. He obviously suffers from borderline personality disorder with a VERY healthy narciccistic component. I think he truly believes he has the high ground. He should try to jump in on the Zimbabwe election runoffs, he would make a fantastic third world tin-pot dictator
Have you guys ever used handcuffs? I wish the amount of energy and interest this scandal has generated could be turned towards helping men, women (stoned to death for not wearing right clothes, or suffering UN ignored wars ...) and children suffering rape (yes in good old Australia within our Aborginal communities ) and ethnic cleansing in too many places around the world right NOW. Heck maybe we could stop the pediophile tours to countries where children do not have the right laws to protect them. Maybe if the world had reacted sooner back in the late 30's we could have saved millions. Instead we all sit around comfortable in our own lives playing "I'm all right", until it's too late and then afterwards we are outraged. And then get outraged when somebody wears Nazi clothing during private consenting sex, while playing the ignore game for current issues ... weird, just weird. Max is a nutter yes, but he should (have) be(en) sacked for ruining our sport way before he had kinky sex. Pete ps: Current wars: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/war/index.html, and some/many (?) of these wars involve attrocities towards women and children that should make us all "ignore F1 for a minute or two" and get real. Remember the (I think) Nigerian boys of around 4 years old that had no choice but to leave the screaming mums and sisters behind as they were raped and murdered and walk thousands of miles across a desert to make camps. Many did not make the treak, and died alone . This was about maybe 20 years ago. Some of these boys now men have recently made it to Australia as immigrants. I wonder what their perspective would be of this scandal, or would they be more upset at how their families were also ignored by us (and the oh so useless UN) ... I wonder?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7328018.stm FIA president Max Mosley claims BMW and Mercedes-Benz should have contacted him before issuing their joint statement criticising his behaviour. The German car manufacturers labelled the allegations about Mosley's private life in the News of the World as 'disgraceful', as F1's competitors ended their silence over the controversy of Thursday. But Mosley said he was not surprised by BMW and Mercedes-Benz's statement, but suggested that they were criticising him for something which may not be true. Speaking to Reuters, Mosley said: "Given the history of BMW and Mercedes Benz, particularly before and during the Second World War, I fully understand why they would wish to strongly distance themselves from what they rightly describe as the disgraceful content of these publications. "Unfortunately, they did not contact me before putting out their statement to ask whether the content was in fact true. "No doubt the FIA will respond to them in due course as I am about to respond to the newspaper in question." Mosley has indicated that he is preparing legal action against the News of the World for invasion of privacy over the report in last Sunday's newspaper.
