I have the iPod hook up in my 599 but my iPhone gets a message that it won't work with this device. The strange thing is that it worked the very first time I tried it but now it will not work. Any thoughts out there?

Mine works in the 599. Keep in mind that all non-Apple hardware will cause this message to be shown (it does that for all of my home audio and other including my MB and 599). Note, however, that you should bypass the message asking whether you still want to use the "non-compatible" hardware - just say "yes" to continue.

It still works, however - it is just Steve Jobs' way of reminding you that you should buy Apple products!

As for not working again, try re-booting your iPhone (maybe evening re-synching on your PC and getting any software updates loaded) and trying again.

    Good luck.

Just press no and carry on. It will still work. I had the same confusion with my iPod alarmclock.

If you click yes, then it put it into "airplane mode" which disables the phone antenna... this is becuase which the phone and data service on, it usually causes a lot of static when your phone rings or when it's checking email.

If you press yes you will disable the blue tooth because you will go into "airplane mode" which basically allows you to use the device as an ipod/ other features but no wireless. Youll have to go back into settings and turn airplane mode off. My dealer update the software in the car recently and this fixed a problem where the car and ipod section would not sometimes see each other and it was resolved by saying yes to that warning but since the software update its all good. As to sound quality with the stereo, its sadly nearly impossible to tune if you have the bose system. You didnt ask but I will tell you I get the best results (which are sadly only just OK) by turning off the automatic eq in the TFT menu and setting the iphone's ipod eq section to bass booster. This will blow the bass out on some really bass heavy music like some rap if you listen to that you might want to keep the iphone's ipod eq set to flat. But it helps for classic rock music. The stereo is my only issue with this fine vehicle and its a small issue IMHO.

    best regards,
    Jerry
