Hot d@mn! An hour into 2nd practice and SeaBass is up to 5th! Massa still hanging on ahead of Hamilton. Nakajima in fourth (who was that said the Williams always goes well here, remember Nico's inaugural run here? Fastest lap in the race!), this is getting good!

Now, Nico in third, shuffling Kimi back to fourth. Massa back on track, still leading. DC still two places ahead of his team mate in seventh. At least the FIA does provide Live Timing! :)

Wow! Heikki jumps to 3rd ahead of Lewis, so it's Massa/Kimi/Heikki/Lewis/Nico/Naka/Seabass with their last runs just starting...

Prac Two: Massa blitzes the competition - Planet F1
    Friday 4th April 2008

Felipe Massa lead a dominant Ferrari's 1-2 in second practice for the Bahrain GP after deposing his team-mate in the dying seconds of the session.

Massa, who topped the timesheets in the previous practice, lead the way for much of the session before Kimi Raikkonen moved ahead.

The Finn's reign, though, was short-lived as Massa came back to take the top honours by a massive 0.907 seconds over the World Champion.

Heikki Kovalainen was third for McLaren, however, he was 1.332s slower than Massa. His team-mate Lewis Hamilton finished fourth despite a late crash.

Hamilton lost control of his car on the exit of Turn 7 and spun across the track. He hit the barriers on the opposite side-on, which caused severe damage to his MP4-23. The Brit though was unhurt.

As much as I like and defend Massa, this is just practice. I believe Felipe will usually beat his teammate in qualifications, I think he is the faster of the two in single laps. Its race day, and fuel loads that will tell the true.

A prediction: Heikki will "finish" the season with more points than teammate Lewis. The WDC will come down to Massa and Raikkonen.

True. Massa said as much in the interview after P2. He said "Kimi was on one program, I was on another."

But he does like, knows well and has won (against Shumi) on this track. There's a lot of good baggage there that will help him stay "on task" this weekend.

I don't care what program they're on, .9 seconds (when that covers nearly half the field) is a TON.

This will certainly be the gritiest track they have been on without TC. Speed spoke of changing lines due to wind and areo of the cars. I'm saying oversteer and rear tire wear will be issues.
