Not meaning to pull the pin and throw it in the room, but I've got to ask this question in response to SonomaRik and I being told we're not going to be included in their newly formed 348 Registry.

When I had a Mondial QV, I felt the brotherhood of 308 love... :) Most I know with a 3.2 Coupe or Cab feel the brotherhood of 328 love... Both of those examples plus the Mondial 8 are rightly found here, dealt with in this Model Specific Discussion

The only love I feel as a t owner most of the time is among my fellow Mondial brethren... and we're considered by most to be on the "fringe" because we like our extra wheelbase... :)

I'm having a small identity crisis here...

My car has 348 running gear, far different than the stuff found in this Discussion section and covered in a separate subtopic (348/355), but my car is a Mondial.

    WHICH IS IT?!?!?!? AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

That sucks. The t is so different from its predecessors that I'm surprised it hasn't been moved to the 348 forum long ago. Maybe size does matter (grates or strakes) and yours are too small :D

Thank you Russ Turner for the Registry and thanks to Hank for reminding me it was there. Just having a schizophrenic moment and have wanted to ask that question for awhile...

The Mondial T was one of the outliers during the great Model Breakdown Debate of 05 (or 06, I forget). Frankly, it doesn't fit anywhere neatly, but doesn't have enough traffic to justify it's own forum. This was the best of the bad fits.

The obvious solution is to ditch that single-belt hybrid and return to a proper 3.2 :D

As the editor of the FCA- Desert Region publication Bollettino I'm proud to tell you all that the first Featured car in our publication is the Mondial and specifically the Mondial T coupe. This is a completely revamped version of our publication since I took over as the editor. I enlisted the help of my good friend and F-chat member 348SStb to help me with an article and he hooked me up with a winner.
Go to www.ferrariaz.com enter the site and click on the Bollettino thumbnail. The article is on page 12 and is called "The Overlooked Ferrari".
I hope you guys enjoy it.
    Long live the Mondial!!!

Thanks, I must clarify that the article was written by 348SStb not me. I can't write to save my life....just look at some of my posts.

I think they belong in the 348 forum. Ferraris are sorted by their engines

Only if you really need a slow car. The 3.4 makes quite a bit more power.

Oh, you changed it? My "T" still has its original engine, which the 348s inherited shortly afterwards. ;)

Seriously, the 348 folks here have been very helpful with us "T" owners. :)

    You're absolutely right.

The 348's have our t's running gear, just as the 308 GTi 2V cars have the Mondial 8's running gear!

Thanks for reminding us of the fact the WE are "cutting edge." :D

See, this thread is helping me recover! :)

    I just love that pic!

I've got a framed print of it hanging in my garage. It sort of blends my faith, with my love for Ferrari. :D

    Hey gang,

What I find a bit curious, is that we've got 348 & 355 lumped together like two very different people labled "similar" because their clothing look similar.
Further, tho the basic drivetrain was shared, the "t" had tech. advances that never made it to the 348 line but were embraced in the 355 model. If we're talking "model specific", then let's be model specific.

I really don't care which section I have to go to for the purpose of chatting with my Ferrari loving friends, but I must say------- the Mondial t requires its own box and its own ribbon - as it is truly a unique gift.:):):)

    Cheers, Hank

Does anyone know what the assumed benefits versus effort to develop a Mondial t registry?

If 348's don't want the t's in their registry, couldn't we develop our own?

I am just not sure what the intent, value of a registry is?

That was pretty mean-spirited, IMHO...we still have some small pride in VetteChat.

Beep-Beep, didn't mean you FCar and your new Mondial, of course.
