Probably because he will take out title insurance and be much more sure of the clear title and may even file papaers for the new title to ensure it actually gets registered with the state asap. No need to make it retroactive. That isn't going to work now with Josh as the wheels of the law are now in motion and any act like that will just muck up the process.

Yeah, it's incredible. Google "Validation letter". Got bad credit marks? You could have most of them erased with a single letter to the credit reporting agencies :)

not to be rude, but the first word of my sentence was, Roy, which means I was asking him, if I wanted to ask you, I would of said JohnnyS. Seriously, I don't have anything against Roy, met him a few times, tried doing a deal or to with him, great all-around guy. Would I buy a car from him, of course. I have heard good and bad, but its like that with any dealer, lawyer, restaurant, mechanic, doctor etc etc. But in return, I don't think it was necessary for Roy to word things the way he did, when this is going on. So Roy, once again, please answer my question

yeah. The guy owning the car said the mystery driver was "Dietrich" and after investigating, police found evidences that they were indeed 2 people in the car.

The way this thing goes, we will learn that the mystery guy who left the country after selling the Gallardo is also named "Dietrich".

Headlines: "The mystery seller who left the country after selling an allegedly stolen Gallardo was going under the name Dietrich"

in the other story, Dietrich walked (no punt intended).

Then a legend like the "white lady" standing on the road corner at night will start each time one of us is about to buy a exotic (on CC or not).

Well, I wasted my whole afternoon - thanks Mike (MRoadster).

Couldn't help but notice that along the way several people popped up and started rooting for 360 as a BFPv (a Bonafide Purchaser for Value) but that those same people failed to recognize that ROY WAS IN THE SAME EXACT POSITION. Dealer or not, her ALSO bought a car, under indica of clear title, and that as such would be entitled to the same protections under the law against those before him in the chain of title as 360 has.

Also, I disagree with a bunch of the law that has been cited - no report that the car was "stolen," no reason for Roy to "know" that there was even a potential issue with the title - good faith is part of the UCC - would make things fall on Roy's side.

No doubt in my mind that this matter has been handled properly - drag all the players into the courtroom and let the judge figure out who it was that screwed the pooch. No reason for Roy to jump in early and pay 360 - and certainly not the purchase price plus his attorney fees (not after the car was driven for 6000 miles!). Seems to me that the guilty party is much further back in the chain of title and that it will be that person who has to pay everyone back, that eventually gets paid back.

As for 360, he should get his car, his attorney fees and maybe a check to cover his lost use - can't see him getting much more than that - excet maybe served with a libel suit or two. He certainly should man-up and apologize to Roy who busted a nut trying to make things right - over and over again - in a situation that was neither under his fault not under his control.

    Props for Roy.

    Razzberries for 360.

A solid kick in the a** for MRoadster for even bringing this nonsense to my attention.

No who's paying me for the 4 hours of my life that was lost - got to get me one of those one year lease deals on a 599 - do you think Shelton will take 25 credit cards until the settlement check for this mental anguish arrives????!!!!!!

you guys aren't gonna believe this. Just got a call from my banker today. They want me to send the title to the lambo to them. They never got it and can't put a lean on it without the title. DMV sent me a clear title. I'm heading to vegas! I've got the car and clear title! True story.

So JUST for the hell of it...

IF you did decide to go to your local car Dealer, sign the title over, collect cash, split to who knows where, then it got sold two times down the road through licensed Dealers that had no idea and had no way of ever to verify you were pulling a scam..(because it had clear title and no lien of record ANYWHERE!!) and then your BANK found a way to "snag" it back while you were off blowing the money on "Elfs" (well I would be, maybe you just fishing, I dont know) AND the last Dealer that sold it to the poor guy that got it snagged back...said sorry, you have too sue me to get this done correctly...I cant just hand over a refund AND surely NOT in a form other than the way you paid me to begin with........

What would you think and do as that Dealer..

Just wondering as know you can see how easy it was...a second point of view and thought from someone that can EASILY do the same thing RIGHT NOW TODAY...

    Thanks Roy

The first trader bought a car from a foreigner, and the car was titled to a lease company. They should have known that was not right or at least have called the lease company. Instead they pass the car on quickly probably for a low price. I think all in the chain knew something wasn't right. My opinion.

    Thanks Roy
