Despite his longtime association with Ford, he said he won't be using any of the money to buy one of his former employer's vehicles.

"I worked for Ford Motor Company," he said. "I won't be buying a Ford product."

Apparently you folks haven't looked at the price of norhern Michigan waterfront property recently. I have a friend with west facing property on Lake Charlevoix (not too far from Mullett Lake) who paid $10,000 per foot of beach front. It is more like BMWs and Mercs in the parking lot.

    What does that tell you.

I guess working there all the years, and like the majoirty of the employees don't take much pride in the product.
It tells quite a bit of what goes on in the plant.
Just imagine, they are there all day, laughing and smirking, because some fool is buying that car that they could't care less about.

    Just my 3 cents worth

Old newsman adage; Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Ford needs to go for Fox's throat. Fox wouldn't hesitate if the tables were turned.

Actually - you can't trust Associated Press... whom Fox credited with the story...

A Free Press story incorrectly quoted Sneath, saying he would not buy a Ford product when asked if he would by a luxury car. In fact, Sneath, who spoke to reporters at a news conference Thursday, had said he would not buy a foreign product, but his muttered remark was misunderstood by reporters for both the Free Press and Associated Press, which also misquoted Sneath, 60.

I used to be a Server and bus boy at two fairly nice restaraunts and if most people saw what happened with the food in the kitchens they would be horrified. I still go out to eat though, but not at the previous employer's. ;)

Hmmm......what's wrong with a Ford GT. I don't fancy the make "Ford", but I certainly love the Ford GT.

I believe that he said that he was going to buy his son an Explorer and he was going to get himself a Navigator. Then he went on to say that he was going to remarry his ex-wife. Hope he gets a pre-nup. :)

I guarantee you one of the first cars I would buy with that money would be an original GT40. You will find no wrong with that car.
