Yes........the F430 successor should be launched by the end of 2009.

Which car to buy............it all depends on what you want and when you want it. The Scud will not be replaced soon and it's more of a track car. Your criteria should not be based on "which car is faster", as I doubt you will ever reach top speeds of either car.
The F430 successor is still about 2 years away from today. I doubt you will be able to buy it before 1st quarter 2010.

 

No one can tell for sure............it could be close to something with a 5 liter engine.

 

A dealer told me it would be 12-18 months for a replacement to the current F430. It might even be sooner as Ceramic brakes are now being thrown in free of charge on the 08's. This tells me that the factory is clearing the last models out. Also, with the release of the new Gallardo, I would think Ferrari would be quite motivated to get the replacement 430 out. As much as we all love Ferraris, the new Gallardo may be a compelling alternative.

The dealer is my source. Ceramic brakes are included as a no cost option on 08 F430 here in Canada. I do not know if its the same in the US.

 

The ceramic brakes are standard on '08, BUT IT'S DEFINITELY NOT FREE!!!!
MSRP went up to compensate.

 

yeah, don't be fooled by Ferrari marketing! yes, ceramics are standard but the MSRP hit the upshift!

 

You are misinformed............yes, CC brakes are now standard on any Ferrari and not an option but at an increase in MSRP. 2008 MSRP prices were increased by approx. US$15k-20k for that reason only.

 

and ceramic brakes are in standart not because for clearing out(clearing out ceramic brakes come on )
they saw it is necessary, esspecially in models like 599.

 

I am told the 430 replacement will be here end of 2009 and will look more like an enzo

I heard Maranello is running out of storage space to keep all those unsold 430s.

 

They might decide to dump them in 3rd world countries at 60% of the MSRP.

In Canada the msrp actually went down by some $15,000 for the 08 models. Must be different depending on which country you are in.

As much as you may want to ignore facts, the base price has dropped in Canada by some $15,000 and Ceramic Brakes are a no cost option. Why are you so insecure about owning a Ferrari. Models change, and it is happening as much as you dont want to face reality. Be proud of owning a Ferrari and accept factual information instead of trying to act like only you know whats going on for every jurisdiction. You are being way too defensive.

The Canadian dollar has gained huge ground on the US dollar as all of us Canadians know. The US and Canadian dollar are about equal now where in the beginning of 2007 it was 1.18 Can to the 1 dollar US. US dollar has been hammered against the Euro.
Canadians have been paying very high premiums for the F430 that it would only be a crime to raise the price for 08. I bought my 2007 430 spider manual for 297K plus 20K in options. This year it's: 283K with the CCBs. F1 is 298K.
So saying the price has come down.......not really, just a money market correction.
