I'm watching BBC News in the US every evening (simply because it is *global* news), but haven't seen anything about him yet. And they do report about F1 if there is some big news.

Might it have something to do with their new F1 contract?
Any chance BBC America will be showing F1 after the contract switch?

    From that link:

"Had I been caught driving excessively fast on a public road or over the alcohol limit (even in, say, Sweden where it is very low) I should have resigned the same day," wrote Mosley.

So what's next: Haug and Theissen drink him under the table and then put him at the wheel of a car while Flavio calls the cops?

I wonder what effect this will have on roadside service. Also, I'm guessing that this episode has done more to eradicate high-end prostitution in London, indeed around the world, at least temporarily. Nothing like knowing you are being video taped to dampen ones enthusiasm, shall we say?

Defiant FIA president Max Mosley insists he has done 'nothing wrong' in the scandal over his private life, and labelled his behaviour as 'harmless and completely legal'.

The head of motor racing's governing body has so far resisted all calls for him to resign in the wake of the sexual allegations made by the News of the World, and last night revealed that he would be suing the newspaper over the story.

In a letter to the German motoring federation ADAC, which has asked Mosley to seriously consider his position, Mosley says that he cannot see any reason why he should quit - and claims he has support from 20 FIA clubs and representatives of some additional 50 clubs to stay on in his role.

The letter, a copy of which has been seen by autosport.com, is addressed to ADAC president Peter Meyer and has also been sent to all FIA member clubs, members of the World Motor Sport Council, members of the FIA Senate and members of the World Council for Automobile Mobility and Tourism.

"Had I been caught driving excessively fast on a public road or over the alcohol limit (even in, say, Sweden where it is very low) I should have resigned the same day," wrote Mosley.

"As it is, a scandal paper obtained by illegal means pictures of something I did in private which, although unacceptable to some people, was harmless and completely legal. Many people do things in their bedrooms or have personal habits which others find repugnant. But as long as they keep them private, nobody objects.

"The offence seems to be not what I did but the fact that it became public. But I played no role in this, indeed I did my utmost to ensure it remained private. I was the victim of a disgusting conspiracy.

"It goes without saying that the so-called Nazi element is pure fabrication. This will become crystal clear when the matter comes to trial. The newspaper invented this in order to spice up their story and introduce my family background."

He added: "In short, I think I have done nothing wrong and that the wrong was done by the newspaper. That is why I am suing them.

"I don't think any of this should affect my work on motoring safety, the environment or the sport. I believe that 21st century adults do not worry about private sexual matters as long as they are legal and harmless. I shall put this view to the Assembly in due course."

As well as ADAC's criticism, other motoring organizations that have expressed concern about Mosley's behaviour include the Dutch federation KNAF, the American federation AAA and Israel's Automobile and Touring Club.

Furthermore in the letter, Mosley reveals that he has also received a letter from the Australian touring club in a similar tone to that expressed by ADAC.

"It goes without saying that the so-called Nazi element is pure fabrication" ..headlice, pubic hair inspection.

"I don't think any of this should affect my work" ..Oh is that so ,your running out of folk's that agree with that.

I'am sick of his insane ranting's ,do-one Max and disappear up your own sore backside.

Hmm. I'm wondering if this story will end up in my AAA newsletter (I am a member because I like the free maps, trip tickets, and the free flat tow privileges). I have a hard time imagining the majority of AAA club members (the largest club contributor to the FIA) being too happy that part of their membership dues go to supporting a dolt like Mosley. If you want Mosley out, or if you want to start working to shake up the FIA, why not call your sleepy little local AAA chapter and start making some noise?

200 Dollars an hour is not a "high end" prostitute. And there begins the problem and why his old ass is all over the internet. Especially when he has made so many enemies. The president of AAA's old ass is not all over the internet, the president of Mercedes' old ass isn't all over the internet. The Crown Prince of Bahrain's old ass isn't all over the internet, Ron Dennis' old ass isn't all over the internet. Only Max Mosley sorry old ass is. Everybody else knows how, and does what needs to be done, to keep their private life private and not shame his wife and kids ( who now have to answer alot of embassassing questions from the media * doesn't matter that they live in separate houses for years, her old ass isn't all over the internet.) Yes, private life is nobody's business- and I'm sure that everyone on this thread and those being represented by Max Mosley wish like hell he had done a better job taking care of his private business. However, he did not. If you live a double life and are very wealthy, have the decency and good taste to not bother everybody else with your bull****. And if you get caught- and your nasty habits are all over the internet- then be a good sport about it, and step down. Then you can go and have your "private life" and no one will care at all because you won't be representing anyone who has put up billions of dollars. Ah! that's when they care. Have a field day! No one will give a rip.

Sorry guys I have to agree with Max with this part.

How would you like your private sexual activities made public?, and don't please try and tell me you all only quietly do the missonary position under the sheets ... because first of all I will say BS, and second I will say get a life ;) :D

Also I would say more than 50% of male members of this site have atleast once paid for sex ...
    Pete
ps: Again really keen for Max to go, but playing conspiracy games is not the right way (that is Max's way and thus wrong). Everybody else in F1 needs to grow some balls and vote the idiot out!

    Way to miss the point!

    and that's a multi-billion dollar point.
Rebel without a Cause. Or Rebel without a Clue. or Rebel just for the Hell of it. Rebel in search of a cause, but not having one at the moment, Max Mosley's self made plight will have to suffice. Rebel who forgot that 80% of all car buying final decisions are made by females ( yeah- go look it up). Aren't there better, more worthy causes to take up than Max Mosley? I think you gave us a few already. Aren't there some starving children somewhere? Maybe adopt a puppy?

PS the caveat at the end where you say you don't like Max Mosley isn't working.

PPS I am giving you a hard time. PSK. I'd apologize, but it just sounds like whooey.

PPPS So I'll just give a caveat at the end saying that I am drunk and take no responsiblity for myself. Some bastard set me up. I think it was my friend who handed me a beer. I'm not drinking and driving, just writing and drinking.

and for the record, my personal business is related entirely to Formula One for over 20 years, so it matters to me from a practical standpoint as opposed to being a casual fan or voyeur. I want my sport to be represented by someone whose ass is not all over the internet.

Mate I do understand the issue, but really to get this excited about this we should really check each and every person involved in F1's sexual habits ... probably find some team boss that is worse ;)

Yes he should go, but spying should not be how we get rid of him. A simply vote of no confidence regarding his efforts AT his job should be enough, not a sex scandal.

It's actually discrimination and illegal to sack somebody based on their sexual preferences. Discussing the disgusting Nazi side ... heck some wives dress up as school girls to turn their partners on. That is a bit dodgy surely and debateably just as disgusting (encouraging any form of pedifilia) and yet probably more common than we think.

Heck should we require all involved in F1, including company directors to fully disclose their sexual habits before being allowed to join. Probably find many will embarrass the sport and turn sponsors off ...

So again just friggin sack the guy because he cannot do his job ...

Think about that valid and correct comment you just made.

If some low life had not wanted to play spy/scandal hunter then nobody would have "checked" on Max's sex life, and the rest of us would not have become disgusting voyeurs! Some things should be private if legal.

Thus again sack Max because he is useless at his job, and jail/sue the spy/scandal hunter because the world would be a far better place without scandal hunting news paper journo's or team bosses that resort to this cr@p, instead of growing some balls and getting Max voted out.

So how do we know there legal
If some low life in a public role goes round in his job, pissing people off, blackmailing them ,twisting rule's to suit his own end's, with personal gripe's because they object to his dictator way's, I vote by any mean's possible to get shut.

You say we are disgusting voyeurs get real.. should be kept private, so he can do what he like's Eh!! How would we know if it's legal then.? brush it under the carpet ,nice one, I can't beleive your take on this taking the moral high ground, Yeh like you want him living in your street, ok have him.,

Also to think, A simple vote of no confidence regarding his efforts AT his job should be enough, not a sex scandal.
He won't stand down after this crap, the amentioned fact you stated has been known for year's makes no difference.

Any that had the ball's either get sued or ain't in F1 any longer, Max's way :My way or the highway.

    Ask your mate...Paul Stottard
