Looks nice... anyone know what makes it "Elite"?

EDIT: as near as I can tell, painting it the "right" color and adding the tire stripes makes it Elite... You'd think they'd add the front wheel covers too... Maybe they'll do that and then call it the the Super Elite version.

I believe the F2007 had no front wheel covers. Or at least not in the beginning of the season.

It has the correct ROSSO for the latter part of the season introduced in Monaco last year.
But it is missing the new aero configuration, The airbox "hump" change, some "sahrk fins" in front of the cockpit, rear wheel covers with BBS decoration, and the front wheel covers...

Maybe the price is Elite, but the model is not there yet. [at least the one on the picture]

As far as I know, this model is not yet out (at least not here in the US).
Speedgear does not actually have it - they are just taking orders, with an expected stock date of May 1st.

    Doubt it.

They could have done a much better job for 95$

Yes they could have, but they are too busy minding other people's business- and trying to tell those more creative than themselves how to make models. Instead of the other way around- like Providence intended. Also, some moths and mildew inside their wallets. Leeeetle Beeeeet Cheeeep with the design department and don't give anyone time to do a good job. Alot of resources going to waste due to "corporate think" and other internal disfunction. But they will change a few of the things that are wrong with it before it hits the market- I think- wheel covers et al. but don't listen to me when it comes to this diecast stuff- I'm only batting 300 or less on the info department.

One boy has one mind, two boys have half a mind and three boys have no mind at all. I think that was Charles Lindbergh's Grandfather giving him advice about keeping his own council- but not sure.

+1... I agree. It's the typical Mattel marketing... "Hey guys get with the big picture" and add these changes. I'm still waiting to buy one with the new aero configuration.

The way I look at it is that its better then nothing and in my opinion better then a Minichamps at this point.
BTW, I'm not knocking Minichamps, I really like the stuff they make.
