How much should I consider paying for a salvaged Enzo, totally redone by the factory? What are the considerations?

Interesting....you know there are only one or two candidates for such a proposition, the car Losee flew in Idaho or Erickson's car from California, Bank of Scotland...

I really have no idea, they rebuilt it and released it from Ferrari and it still has the original VIN and a salvage title?

    That just doesn't sound right.

Oh wait, maybe this is the wrecked car from that movie???

    What car are you considering?

Would this be a track car or would you try to register a salvage car for the road?

    BTW, welcome to F-chat.

I dont think a car rebuilt by the factory will have a salvaged title. It will be a completely new car if I remember correctly.

A salvaged Enzo is practically worthless IMHO.

A rebuilt/retitled by factory Enzo is worth the same as any other Enzo I would think.

Shoot, if it is all documented well, the story might make it worth a little more.

lol.. now that would be intereseting..

If re-built from the factory it would cost the same as previously stated.

Dieter created the most famous Enzo out there by distroying it.

Don't forget some comedian/actor Eddie Griffin (sp?) drove an Enzo into a concrete barrier.

    Best regards,

Right that would be my third one, totally repairable IMO, but with a new tub, it should have been assigned a new VIN and avoided any "salvage" reference..

Once the model year is over can they just assign it a "new" vin ? Wasn't there some story about unused 60's vins from Shelby Cobras ?? Since they were 'unused" he was able to build to 60's specs

wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy an Enzo than to have Ferrari rebuild and restore it?

There was one destroyed in France...some Russian owner.
    One in Italy...older Italian gentleman.
    Two in Germany.
    One in Saudi.

I am sure there are plenty of other crashed ones out there.

Do you have any pics of this car? Is this car in the US? If the car was restored by the factory, then the value should be the same. Why does it have a salvaged title if restored?

Maybe it's just me... but this sounds like a troll. Like "how much would it cost
to rebuild one of the wrecked space shuttles".

Guess I'll wait to see the pix of said Enzo...

Something tells me you have to be on pretty good terms with the factory for them to rebuild you a car they stopped producing a few years ago. Plus, the person who wrecked the Enzo in the first place would probably want it back.

Not a troll, just a women who knows little trying to maybe buy a car for the husband.

The car is said to have been totaled in the US. Current owner bought it and sent it to the factory where it was recently rebuilt.

Owner wants in the $1.2-1.4MM range I see several for sale for and I want to know if the fact that it has a salvage title effects value. The car has the original VIN. Almost all parts are new.

If you husband wants a car, certainly a million dollar car, I would consult him instead of us.

Ditto, and in the price range mentioned, you could buy a 'no stories' Enzo!

This has to be the strangest 1st post yet....

You people are sounding pretty sexist. The husband has bought me valuable jewelery without asking first and I'm just trying to give a special gift too, man jewelery.
